Surely all the league clubs should be getting together over this. They might not all be directly affetced by this for this season but it has set a dangerous precedent for the future what with some comparably wealthy teams in the league now who probably just need to entertain league officials with prawns sarnies and cheap plonk to get their way......Viva La Revolution!

We are on our own and you cant blame Barrie if he decides to not piss on his chips here.

However if people like teddy, steve holly and alan robinson want to then i would take out an injunction monday morning stopping the play offs from happening until the case is heard.

It is my belief that the league are bending FA Rules here and the FA say they cant do that.

They are very underhanded in only announcing it hours before the last game.

I am sure the club will do what they think is best. But the conference have acted like a bunch of ****s and we have been denied a spot in the play offs having played fair and by the rules

I think it epitomises the whole FA system. Its run by a bunch of old men who should have retired years ago. They only seem interested in money nowadays.

They build a stadium where the grass cant grow properly because the sunlight cant get in. Brilliant. What was the purpose of the semi sliding roof then? Thats our money thats been wasted.

Champions League just makes the rich clubs richer. It allows the likes of Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal to tap up and buy the best players from other clubs. Do away with it and replace it with a straight forward knockout competition with more clubs allowed in. No seeding, all in the hat together. That would give some of the lower clubs a decent payout and increase the interest. Personally I dont watch the league stages because theyre just boring. Id sooner watch Welling in a London Challenge Cup.

The Premier League only has 20 clubs so the big clubs dont have to play too many games and interfere with their usual Champions League games. Increase the league by at least two clubs and if this annoys the big clubs then tough.

In the FA Cup, force clubs to play their strongest sides in it. The big clubs are devaluing the greatest football competition in the world and it shouldnt be allowed. For Christ sake, they even gave Man U a bye in the 3rd round one year so they could play in the World Club Championships. Pathetic.

Rant over. Have a good close season everyone.

According to the non-league paper, Hampton showed the Conference the appropriate paperwork  for the planning permission just minutes before Friday's extended deadline of 5pm.

shame the REAL deadline was the 31st march

i just find that hard to believe - and if true hampton probably just gave a wad of cash to the council to give them the planning permission when there wasnt a meeting(im sure that will go down well with the locals)

LOL so they get given an extended deadline LOL AND they dont go through the proper planning proceedings. Love it Lets all go the the play offs and chant cheaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaats the whole game. It has opened up a can of worms now with them getting treated so well, teams like Cambridge, Kings Lynn and ANY future team that try to do a Hampton could sue the league. Unfortunately the timescale means its unlikely Welling would benefit from appealing or sueing and whilst on football results we dont deserve to be in the play offs. By the league rules WE DO . Have to be dissapointed for Andy and the Players but Andy is taking it with good grace.

Lets hope they dont give us any sh1tty midweek away games and we get given Dover at Home on Boxing Day (they will bring more than Bromley)  Having said that i bet we get some crap team for our bank holdiay games. Strudwick really doesnt seem to like us and now Moules has gone Lee just seems to bend FA rules and let teams break the rules.

To continue the debate I have bene advised that H and R were given a resolution by the local planning authority to grant outline planning permission in writing at the start of the week. This satisfied the Conference bods. However it remains only a resolution to grant and not an official permission. I am not aware of the timing of the application and as such would not be able to comment on the expiry of the judicial review period of 3 months but I bet there's a good chance that H and R could start in the Conference without a planning consent being finalised and in place.

I just read this on another message board. Quite interesting.

I don't think it's a personal agenda against us though.

As a Wings supporter of 30 years but now a resident close to H & R do you think I will get an opportunity to protest against the planning permission as a local resident? Could be interesting if someone does

So, to take a meaning from the quote above, there is a chance that H&R get promoted, and the permisson is turned down? I know that planning permission takes months to clear, so the funniest thing could be H&R getting promoted, then getting sent straight back down because of lack of planning permission!

And to the poster above...Yes, if it affects your area, you are, to the best of my knowledge, allowed to contest it. Best thing to do is talk to your local councillor (ward, not borough).
