Our friends from France have already stated that they will not be in this league for long. Also that they can just buy Charlie Sheringham and whoever else they want .
This could be fun. Why the fk would Charlie want to go and play for those pikeys who had the begging buckets out when they almost went busto.
LOL they were in the pub league for years this could be really hilarious next season.
Once of them has piped up so i gave him a bit of the JgFc treatment, Nothing bad but if a few of them want to p1ss me off this could be funny. Arrogant dreamers pub league french pikeys.
Lets stick it up them next year.In their words i had forgotton how Billy Big B0lloc and arrogant Dover were.

lol - wimbledon the aint and they wont go up next year so it will be interesting to see what happens to them and their fairweather fans when they finish mid-table next year
Done be we got a nice fee for Keds and i am sure Charlies would be bigger from a tribunal.
Charlie will stay Fordy is good for him and if he bangs in a few early in the season a league club will come sniffing. Dover arent consistent have had money troubles and its a long way down there every week.
Charlie would be mental to go there. Hes on the right track at Welling.

I think discussing Charlie going to Dover is ridiculous, based on a fan on their forum saying 'he'd LIKE him to sign'. It's hardly like anybody is even suggesting the manager has any interest in him.
It was the attitude . They are posting lots of names and just assuming that a) they can afford them and b) the player would just go to Dover.
It wasnt a "look out charlies doing to the Frenchies" post.
They really are showing how big billys gonads are again down there. I loved Parmenters quote that they wont be in Blue Sq South for long. I would P1ss myself if they did a Weymouth, Lewes, Fisher, Horchurch and had to release their players and ran out of money.
Then i could bring his quote up and say Right Again! good luck in the Ryman. I cannot believe a club that had the begging buckets out and really said if you dont pay we could go under... has then bought 2 promotions is paying conference wages and is being BBB and saying they will sign who they want and win the league lol.
I just hope we tank them twice.

Given that there is thread on here "One PLAYER You would like to sign" where Dover's striker is included - you cannot serious complain about a similar thread about players they would like to sign on their forum including Charlie.
Anyway I wonder who this is:
A third player, proven at Blue Square South level, who has potential to play at a higher standard, is also currently in talks with the club (Dover)
The victims in all Dover are the small business' of Dover that no longer exist thanks to being shafted by the CVA.
They did get Alan Pouton to drop from League 1 to Ryman South 1 in a summer at the age of 30. I doubt they could have done that without some serious ££££££££££££££££££££££££££.
Their manager's last job was in the Championship, he dropped SIX divisons within 2 years! I wonder what would motivate somebody to do that £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££.
It'll all end in tears, and like Weymouth before them I will laugh and laugh and laugh.
1) 1000ish Crowds = More money 2) How on earth do you have any idea what our budget is like? 3) Signing young players released from football league clubs is hardly spending £££££££. 4) I reckon our wage budget is little different to yours 5) [edited. Little wonder you were not prepared to put your name to that comment anonymous. bruno]

Item number 4 just makes me laugh! its probably twice that of Wellings, i havent got a major problem with teams with bigger support spending the money but pretending that you have the same budget as us is a joke.
do me a favour when you guys go bust or have a large bill come in dont come to this board asking for money as you have all the signs of Weymouth Mark II.
Cant beat a bit of Banter. Let Dover show their penis envy and throw money at trying to buy the league. We all know their past history. Whilst we have played at this Level and the one above for longer than our French Friends they will always be a small club near calais and not as good as us.

Yes, Dover have had financial difficulties in the past and we were penilised by it by getting relegated in continuous seasons and ended up in Ryman South 1. These were obviously not good times for the club and no one expected us to be down there for too long. Maybe this was our arrogance or due to the current managerial team. However, we did back bounce with 'Hess & Hare' and under a new board of directors who have shown their belief in the club to invest in it personally and run the club as a business. We have cleared our debts and now run a mainly profit football club due to our extremely large fan base for the leagues we were in. The support of our club has always been great. In fact why were our attendances large than yours even when we were getting relegated and staying in the Ryman South when you were being rather consistant in the Conference leagues.
Maybe we benefit from having no other bigger club in our area? If so, great. Its working for us. And as for you saying we are spending the pounds here and there, we are rumoured to be on the same budget Clive Walker was on, although that is a rumour and being a professionally run club we do not release these figures. Also, having a high standard Centre Spot/Club house has been benefitical to us, only being open if we are assure that it will gain more money that it is wasting keeping it operated. This is extremely efficient for the long-term of our club. We also hire it out publicy. Bonus.
As for the playing staff, yes we have a large squad of quality players, some of which people suggest cost the club a few grand. Well the majority of our signings were on a free as the players were out of contract. We also have a very effective youth development which is only going to get better with our academy in Faversham. People like Pouton came out of retirement due to persistant injury problems and enjoys working with Hess. Maybe our contacts are greater and people want to play under a wonderful player and management duo. Plus, we can also afford higher wages if that what everyone boasts about due to our club attendances and board backing. Maybe if your club had more supporters and a more ambitious board and manager you would have pushed for Football League status by no. It's not our fault are club is raising back to the levels we should be playing at; Conference football. Arrogance? No.
Rant over, sorry for any spelling errors in the post.
All the good tax payers of Britain were shafted, as were small business that were promised money. Only for you to **** on them by paying staff £1000 per week 2 years later.
'Ambitious non-league club' is code for 'over spending boom and bust club'.
To be fair, Dover is the sort of place that should be able to naturally sustain Conference National club. It really has taken some **** management to end up at such a low over the past 7 years. It's just dissapointing to see no lessons be learned and same boom and bust mentality being taken.
Dover's official site shows they had a squad of 23 players for this season!
Although, our shows we have 22 which is totally inaccurate; so I don't know if that's correct.
Dover general squad size is of order of 18 or 19 plus Hessie. and some youngsters The extras are due to long term injuries (2 players and 1 retirement).
I would put money on Sheringham going to Dover or at least them offering a huge wad to tempt him down there. Dover will be up there next season. They are paying top dollar and with a big name manager can attract good players. However it would not be surprising if in a few years time they do a Weymouth. If you live in Dover you need something to cheer so good luck to them.
Let's hope we get them at home on Boxing Day and give them a good stuffing!
I think your right, the chequebooks will be out and according to their site money dont seem to be a problem providing they keep in budget but that looks like a big one overall.
What sticks in my throat as JGFC has already said is that at the time no one wanted a Kent football club to go out of business so everyone chipped in to stop this happening. Now with what it seems as money no object they will no doubt wave wads in front of the likes of Charlie in the hope of buying the title.
Whilst Fordy will no doubt do hiis level best you also have to compete against their management who will no doubt say he can do a better job.
We have seen it with Chelmsford this year and H&R in going from one league to another in a matter of seasons. If say Birmingham were to win the Premiership next season having just been promoted from the Championship there would no doubt be some questions somewhere.
Having said that a mid table finish and six points to us would make me smile
and if that means spending only money we have and still being here long term, that is what we do, and we should do it to best of our collective ability, which we are doing fairly well at the moment.
If that means we sometimes get run over and larged at by people spending what they haven't got, that is a hazard of the territory.
However, if they get turned over by us, or fall apart, expect it back with interest and no sympathy (which is more than can be said for those short changed by CVAs). The same goes for those short cutting the regulations
And if league's decided whether they were going to be 'decided on the pitch' or within ALL their regulations (and transgressors were just ignored in the final analysis, the highest placed qualify team within the rules getting their appropriate reward, regardless of if they were 22nd) then that might reduce some of the shady sh*t as the reward would be gone or we'd all be on the same terms.
According to the Dover forum, three of their directors have resigned. It seems a bit muddy at the moment and they are awaiting a further official announcement from the club, but it would seem that just the Chairman and his son are left
Oh please let this be the wheels coming off the cart and just to add fuel to the fire, the post below might cue a response-now where did I put that tin hat?
I think there is a good chance of Charlie staying and not being tempted by the money.
Firstly if we keep a good nucleus of our sqaud this season then theres the incentive to stay on at a club where you have mates etc and know the set up well, especially as we seem to have some sort of aspirations of playing higher up the pyramid.
Secondly I'm sure Charlie lives locally in the London area - hell of a way to travel for games, training etc just for a few extra notes down on the Kent coast.
Now if AFC Wombles or someone likewise came in then I'd be more worried.
I don't get why people are still discussing if Charlie would be interested in Dover, when it's not even known Dover are interested what-so-ever in Charlie.
The only thing we know is that Dover are' talking a Conference South player with the ability to play at a higher level'
oh i see the numpty number one is still spouting drivel and you lot at welling folllow him like an ostrich with ur head in the sand, or is that ur heads up jgfc's rather large arse
Goes where he wants when he wants, owns 15 greyhounds, intelligent and pc genius and doesnt live in an area infested with kosevans and ayslum seekers. Also supports a team that is prudent financially and doesnt get the buckets out due to mis management. Also the last time it competed at Ryman south equivalent was 30 years ago.
Oh Also JgFc runs rings round retards..... are you getting dizzy yet Mr pikey fan?

Would you please remove JgFc's last post - as a long term Welling supporter and sometime contributor to this site I find some of the terminology racist.
JgFc - please do not take this as me accusing you as being racist (I have never seen anything to suggest this). I just think you have let this one get under your skin a little too much.
now what to say about jgfc,,,,,,nota lot really apart from arrogant, stupid, dumb, numpty, brainless, and someone who shouts before getting the truth
Whilst JgFc and I will never be bestest friends, and I often disagree with the way he puts his views over, I do believe that he made a cash contribution to your last dire situation last time around. As a result, he has more of a right than most of us to question how you have bought yourselves back above your true level again.
Shouting insults at him does little to hide the fact you cannot provide an adequate answer.
Whilst JgFc and I will never be bestest friends, and I often disagree with the way he puts his views over, I do believe that he made a cash contribution to your last dire situation last time around.
Making a contribution does not excuse making threats of violence on the Dover Foum though, does it?
Although I never contributed to Dover Football Club last time they were skint and going under, I have heard so many people, say how much they put in, I'm surprised that Dover are not a rich as Chelsea.
Thats a bit rich !!! Just heard you've been banned from the Frenchies forum for making threats, and you question somebody betting "personal" !!
I will keep this brief for you.
I hadnt threatened anybody then one abusive personal dig, then another then another came my way then chimp "offered to meet face to face" all before i had posted anythin remotely offensive..
my response although nowhere near what i had received was deemed a threat.
Lets be very certain hear Dover banning me is a locktight as having Helen Keller on neighbourhood watch. I will post on there when i choose too , they simply CANNOT stop me lol and that Dart Sydious is a mug.
Further more and i am not 100% proud of this as they have a few decent fans who i have come to know.... BUTI hope they go bust for the way they think they can run their club and the attitude of some of their fans. IMO they are a tinpot club used to tinpot leagues.
Any WELLING player scoring a Hatrick against Dover in the league this year for welling will get a £200 bonus from me.
