It has been reported elsewhere that we have a confirmed psf against Tonbridge Angels on 1 August at a venue to be confirmed.  Interesting.

I believe you may be thinking of the wrong club. Neil Smith spent a short while at Maidstone before going to join Tim O'Shea (and a host of ex Wings) at Croydon Athletic as Assistant Manager/player.
