I looked on the offical site that doesn't include Spencer Knight, and has Lee Protheroe and staff. I doubt Protheroe will play to many games, seeing how Ming, Johnson, Sambrook, Lawson and Parkinson all played there last season.
If we had a game tomorrow our team would look something like this:
Mitten
Sambrook Andrews Parkinson Knight
Ming Johnson Fazakerly Finn/Hurrell
Clarke Lawson
Mitten is quite injury prone so I think we need another goalkeeper. We need a more experainced cenre back. Fazza isn't a centre midfielder, we need somebody 2 players there. A striker who has scored goals recently.
Fazza and others in that squad are good footballers who will do a job wherever they are asked to play .... but the squad is brginning to look pretty sound anyway
I for one, would be more than willing to be cover for Charlie Mitten! I'm a pretty decent goalkeeper, and I can't see how I'm any worse than some of the rubbish I've seen play at this level. i'd play for pittance too. Just need to get my fitness up for the coming season. Fordy, sign me up!!
We look to have some skillful players and a lot of pace in the squad but I would like to see some older experienced heads in there.
A centre back who can organise the back four and one or two experienced centre midfielders who can hold things together whilst all these attacking players do thier stuff.
