On the official site it says Fordy is still trying to sign him but they cannot agree terms.

Maybe you can help persuade what is a proven scorer to come and join the Wings.

hockton wont be signing for welling...  the club cant match what he has been offered by 2 other clubs... ( or come close )

he will be playing at pvr this year, but not in a welling shirt iam affraid

Hockton is no great loss even if he does come to PVR and score in an opposition shirt next season.

He would have played for us by now if he wasn't always ruled by his wallet. Yes he has a good goalscoring record at this level but let some other club waste half their budget getting him on board and not us.

Hockton is on a lot of money, no doubt he is a good player but he commands alot of money for this level of football. Fair play if he has found a club willing to pay him that, but god forbid he get injured during pre season as his club would have a big hole in there wallet for no return.

Think he will go Dover

dover have gone skint...  again....

chelmsford or st albans are the 2 fav`s

as for ruled by his wallet, he has a young family to support, so wouldnt you go where you can get extra money?

That is fair point, but I still think he commands alot for a non league striker not playing in the top tier. I thought the reason he left Braintree was because he didnt want to travel over the bridge to games?
