At what point do we become concerned that we have not got a full squad, barely even a team? With pre seasons a few weeks away it would be nice to play players that will be lining up when the season starts. Putting a lot of trust in Fordy at the mo to come up trumps and make me eat my words.
Anyone who has followed Welling for a while will have no concerns at all !! We have the largest number of players signed up for next season at this stage of pre-season for god knows how many years. Fordy now back from holiday and pre-season about to start, Im sure the many trialists will be fighting for the places that are left ...
Not remotely concerned. If Frater does the business the defence is sorted, up front is sorted, and wide midfield is sorted. All that is missing is a couple of central midfield players and with a number of trialists to be whittled down we should have competition in every position (apart from in goal?).
Fordy needs to analyse players in match situations first ebfore signing up the rest of the squad from trialists etc everything will slot into place in time.
Ditto to all of the above!! I can't remember when I've been so comfortable with pre-season. And as has been said above Mr Ford is now back from his holiday and trialists to look at. In my humble opinion it seems as though the Wings are attracting a better standard of player this year.
In my experting footballing opinion Welling will win easily, over 100 points no problem. In actual fact I can't see us losing at all with over 100 goals scored.
