H&W away on 26/10, a Monday night. A great one to try and book a half day holiday for as you won't know until the 24th whether either team is involved in an FAC4Q replay or not if either get that far.
ill try to get a few done this year - dover, woking, lewes(love trips down there), dorchester, braintree, thurrock and ill try to do a few others if i can
Having taken (very) early retirement in May I have already put the fixtures in my diary so I can sort out going to away games. Looking forward to Weymouth and Dorchester as never been to that part of the country. H&W is a total bummer cant even think about booking a cheap hotel for the night at this stage.
In actual fact I may take 'er indoors on a romantic weekend away at Thurrock. That's one of my away games sorted. Quite a long journey from the hotel to the ground if I remember rightly.
according to the BBC TV show 'Coast' and the Ordinance Survey, what counts as coast is everywhere that has a tidal range, the Thames has a coastal range all the way to Teddington Lock. That would maje Thurrock the nearest coastal away trip.
I live in Greenhithe and they have no access to Sea Defences all along the walk by the Thames.

Pop into Brighton for the night life! I've heard there are a number of clubs in Brighton. Anyway didn't I read somewhere that you were retired?
Correct Trigger I have retired but am still in my late 50s so as far as I am concerned am still up for a good night out. Many clubs these days have zimmer frame parks and are wheelchair accessiblelol as they say
Dear Squarevanman, if you're up for it we could have our very own "Chariots of Fire". One complete lap around "Gods waiting room" (Old people's home). Start in the communial lounge, then through the arch above which is the picture of the Queen Mum. Down the hall lined with photo's of the staff and pass the table with the orchids. Then it's fast forward towards the kitchen. A quick stop to take some vitamins and 1/2 a stout then off through the doors into the garden. Around the pond and over the bridge then off towards the reception. A quick press on the reception desk bell and back through the double doors back to the starting point.
I must warn you though my zimmer is made of the newest light-weight alloy with super fast OJ wheels at he front and friction free rubbers on the back.

I will have to sit that one out as my zimmer is the "Uncle Albert 2000" made of heavy metal!
Never forget Birmingham to Havant in the p1ssing rain with stafford throwing the waggon around. Didnt take long.
The evening of the world record for hotdogs.. 7 by halftime and had to go on burgers for the second half.
Not quite as good as Folkestone to Stafford with a stop in Dudley and two stationary sets of roadworks in 3 hours 25 though. Can't publicse the average speed for that one, which was quite respectable for an Escort van ......
