Ok although he did do a fantastic over head clearance! he will be seen in a better light in some of our lesser friendlies. As i say I liked Mason, no nonsense give and go centre midfielder

Mason has a lot of experience , but was he released from his last club?

Looks like Fordy is looking at one experienced player and one young whipper snapper for each of the positions he has left. Think the midfielder has to be a guy with experience and legs. He may get away with going for a youngster uptop if he can get Lawson and Clarkey gelling. At the back you would want some experience.

I wonder if hes got any more triallists coming in? Having said all that when you are in pre season and theirs only 2 or 3 spaces left and most if not all of the players have been received warmly. You are in great shape.

Hi JGFC. just looked on the Bishop Stortford Site and Jason Mason Still on it, but then again i dont think its been updated, thought he played well as did all the trial players.  In my opinion CAFC weren't  that diffierent to some of the teams in our division for the upcoming season, and a draw was about right.
Ben Greenhauge is a good signing. fast n skillful. Cracknell Solid, mason one to watch, Finn looked a good signing too. in all a very happy Wings Fan. Thumbs up to fordy so far. biggrinbiggrin

One thing that is great about Ben Greenhaugh is that he is a product of the youth system lets hope there are a few more to come

Charlie Mitten proved that he is a quality keeper and was a good signing by Fordy!

I think Charlie has been a quality player for a long time. He made a couple of outstanding saves last night to keep us in the game. Uses his area well which may be useful if we are found wanting for pace at the back.

Mitten is a good keeper, he is a good bloke and he gives you plenty. Hes a seasoned pro and If he can stay fit then he will be a big bonus this season.
