It's very good, shame about the Hummerstone and Hawkins advert not being captured. I like the way you've captured the light on the flag, no shadowing. Focal point looks to be about right, shame about the cross-bar in the foreground. But you have used good contrast and I like the way you have used the trees as the back ground. Try to remember to divide the shot up into a grid of 9 sections, as this will assist in grasping not just the main object but items that will assist in bringing it to life.
Look good photos to me some belters and better than last season, obviously some are a bit skew wiff . Have you tried a monopod? what kind of lense you using? a 2.8 200mm ?

Would you believe me if I said a Canon 75-300 4-5.6 IS?
It shouldn't be allowed near a sporting event if you read the reviews and ask the pro's.
But for the price and size it's perfect for a beginner and the shots I took yesterday aren't exactly that bad!
Been taking the photos handheld which is why some shots look like the pitch is more of a slope than shooters hill! The lens is tiny compared with some of the pro lenses on show but overall quite pleased how they turned out.
Cheers for the tips.

Only a suggestion but you could position yourself on top of the roof above the Excec Lounge, that way there would be less camera shake and an unobstructed view.
