There has been a massive power cut in Dartford/Crayford today. My daughter, who lives in the area, has been told it could take up to 72 hours to restore supplies to her home. Will Tuesday's match be on?

It doesn't sound too good, different reports being made. Looks like cables going across the Thames close to the Dartfort crossing have been damaged. Many thousands of people affected, on a brighter note, my electric seems ok.
It's 11pm and my power has just come back on, so hopefully all the local area should be ok by tomorrow night. It was quite a quaint sight, me andthe family all huddled around candles listening for the latest news on the power cut on the (battery powered) wireless!
According to EDF, power supplies to Crayford, Erith, Welling are being restored on a rota basis - so they could go off again at any time. Apparently, the East Hill area of Dartford and the eastern side of Dartord are still without power. So it looks like the match is doubtful to say the least as power seems unlikely to be restored permanently until Wednesday morning at the earliest.
Vandalism is suspected - in which case the culprits should be dealt with severely for putting health services, hospitals, the elderly and young babies and children at risk.

I think they should receive a suspended sentence. Suspended by a rope around their necks.

no chance of them being punished by our soppy liberal establishment that are more concerned with punishing normal people (31mph in a 30mph or for thought crimes)
and the kids who did this are no doubt "misunderstood" and "crying out for help"..... i hope they burnt to death in the fire tbh

I live in Welling, and the power came on earlier at midday, for the first time since about 1pm yesterday. I've got to make the most of the power being back on, as it goes off again at 3pm, till it comes on again at 6pm. It'll be three hours on and three hours off till it's all sorted out tomorrow.

Apparently, 2 of them have been...As in they must have been the ones who were never told metal is a conductor. If you get my drift.
