Andy said we had not done all of the pre season routines so to compete with a full time club and lead for 70 mins must be a positive.

Anybody see some encouraging signs? Andy seems to be fairly pleased with parts of the game.

Lets try not to destroy certain players, it was their first proper game after all.

We go into a tough game on Tuesday minus our first choice centre halfs and centre forwards.

Take that out of any team and you're ****ed.

Lump on Thurrock Tuesday.

Well...yes I did see positives...although anon will see it diferently...

Minton I thought ran the middle of the park for a large proportion of the game with some great 'picked out' passes

Finn impressed again until injured

Parkinson as usual

Dean...young lad...will get better BUT showed what we will get later

I think Andy put out a side to hamper Woking and it may have worked without the injuries

I think it will be a much different side on Tuesday with more attacking optiions Hurrel or Faz plus Hughes maybe

As Andy has said he has had no time to work with the players and with a (allegedly) classy left back coming in it will click

Personally I would rather us move up the table through the season rather than get to the top 4 and struggle to stay there

I think we have an idea who the centre back coming in a couple of weeks is .....if right he is 6ft 7 which will make it interesting in attacking situations

I also think Hobbs will score a few this year especially when we have wide players on the pitch

As I said I think Andy picked a team for Woking and admits he made a couple of sub mistakes

6 foot 7? Have we got any people who can dive and win free kicks? It worked for Woking!

We've had our fair share of players who have drawn the foul and gone down spectacularly - Phil Collins and Ellis Green to name but 2.

Not something I like to see but its an established tactic in the modern game and with the standard of most of the referees we see, despite the rules, it is always likely to result in a free kick or worse still a penalty.

For me Dean Cracknell was a major positive I thought he was superb he never stopped running and showed 110% commitmnet throughout. I wasnt sure about him in pre season but I believe with the additon of Minton he has now been given the freedom to go "get stuck in" with the knowledge that his mate Minton will be there to back him up if needed.

You'd have got an authentic scream from Whitey at the same time as well!

Surely Malcolm Spratt was the best diver the world has ever seen. He must have "earnt" John Bartley loads of pens in his time.

He was way ahead of his time and taught the continentals all they needed to know about diving.
