This is not acceptable - three defeats on the spin, six goals conceded and none scored. Charlie, anybody? Not that he would come back now - still, a hat-trick helps boost the dosh for him I suppose.

I mentioned Charlie because he was being slagged off by some fans at Bishops Stortford and pondered whether, because of that, he would wish to come back to Welling if a deal could be done. I accept that he wanted to leave - and presumably he turned down a good offer to stay?
It is good to see that Charlie has answered his critics here and at Stortford in the best way possible.

Doubt he's going to want to join us in the state we are currently. Besides the way he left means I wouldn't want him back. He's in for some stick when they come to us in a few weeks

Anonymous, if you insist on posting bollocks like that, least have the guts to register!
That sort of nonsense helps no-one. Yeah, were not playing well at the moment, but we've seen that at least fordy has the minerals to change the squad about, budget permitting of course.
We are in dire need of a target man someone for hobbsy and clarke to feed off.
Confidence is at rock bottom at the moment id say, we need a win, and quick
I've seen paraplegics with more stamina than Clarke, I don't think he would be any good 'feeding' off someone else!
Fordy's looking for a target man sort of player could we not use Clarke with Finn and Hobbs feeding off him, with their pace?
I'm not sure how tall he is, but he's built quite well and is strong. Don't know how suited he is to this type of role, and I know he's got a proven record but feel what with the injuries he has had he may be lacking that edge these days to bag as many as he has in the past, so a change of role may suit him?
Same old Anons posting utter shi te. If they post anon, just ignore it or make a post telling everyone to ignore it. Gutless people refuse to identify themselves. Their views arent worth a jodrell.

You are quite right - if Charlie was still with us I reckon we would be doing far better. Likewise, as somebody else pointed out, the same could apply if we had Danny Keds and Boothy back. Just dreaming of what might have been. I don't know whether Charlie was determined to go somewhere no matter what the Wings offered him.
Anyway, I need to win mega millions on the lottery to: 1. Improve facilities for standing spectators with smart stands each end or a new ground into Kent a mite more, lol! 2. Pay for a team that will do well.
Realistically, I just hope Fordy gets that target man - a win and a few goals could work wonders.

I am a big supporter of Fordy and I feel he did wonders last season. In view of the injuries situation, I was not concerned about the losses to the likes of Woking, Dover and Newport as they are clubs with greater resources available than the Wings and would have been tough games even with a fully fit squad. However after last night's performance and result I am now concerned as even our injury hit squad should have been good enough to bring back at least a point from Maidenhead. With us now in a relegation place i believe the next three games to be crucial. I think the management team needs to conjure up at least one win from the games against fellow strugglers Dorchester and Weston and a safe passage through to the next round of the FA Cup or I can see the fans, the majority of whom are still supporting them, turning on them. I would hate to see another "Hales Out" type campaign starting up. I believe they still have the ability to turn things round, so over to you Andy and Lee, it's time to start pulling rabbits out of hats.
I think you'll find it doesn't matter how tall you are upfront, but you're supposed to jump when it comes to you, which it doesnt seem our centre forwards do. I've seen neither of our forwards win a ball in the air because they don't jump. JUST WATCH THEM.
Anon - they are normally 6 inches shorter than the central defenders - they aren't going to win the ball. Last night they attempted to jump but gave away free kicks as they were nowhere near the ball. Mind you - I totally agree with you about Menga - for a big lad he never left the ground.
