Wonder who Fordy was talking about the other week...

"Micky wants to go but he is a contracted player," said Ford. "I don't really want players around me who are unhappy but I think he has been tapped up and I know the club."

and i wonder who i was talking about the other week....

I suppose nothing wrong with that if you're talking about non contract players. This happens with contracted players as well though. Not just the clubs either. Nothing stops a Welling player (again a fictitious one) saying to another player, manager or coach 'i can't wait to get away from here and would love to come back'.

Very wrong indeed - makes you wonder what Chelmsford see in him and also - the one I can't understand - what did Dover see in Rocastle - from their web site:

"Rocastle - a cousin of the late Arsenal hero David Rocastle - impressed the Whites boss on Bank Holiday Monday while playing for Welling during our 2-0 victory at Crabble."

Every Welling supporter I spoke to thought he was awful. Are we all missing something.

I never rated Haswell.

Don't like the tapping up though

Best of luck to Mr Haswell, I always felt that for some reason or other he just found it difficult tp fit in (I'm most likely totally wrong). In regard to being 'tapped-up' I have to say that although I don't approve of it, I accept that it goes on. In actual fact I have had numerous calls and visits from other club representatives to join them. But there is still so much I have to give to my club, like loyalty. The fact that I live 6 minutes and twenty three seconds drive from the ground doesn't come into it.

Did n't rate Haswell.

Rocastle looked quality despite being in a dreadful performance. He's big and strong (useful in this league) and looked comfortable on the ball. Blackburn is a good signing though so I'm not too botherd.

Trig - As it takes you 6 1/2 minute to go along your drive, i assume you must have a large mansion or palace at the end of the said drive - BBB
