I enjoyed that. Great to see Jack scoring on his first day back. He had a good game. Well done to Dean as well he too deserved a goal as too did Tom. My man of the match was Steve King, had a great game and made some well timed tackles. Team looking a lot better. Well done!

Good win. Good results for us and some more confidence. Players coming back from injuries too, lots to be positive about. Now go and dominate in the cup game and keep it going. Reserve team proving its worth with players getting run outs to aid fitness or poor form.

Great result.  Team did well not to let their heads drop when Weston equalised.
Michael Deane my man of the match.  Incidentally, could anyone make sense of the league table in the programme?  It certainly had me baffled.

Couldn't agree more Trig. King was outstanding today. Mambo was rock solid too and Jack certainly made a difference when he came on scoring a superb goal with a big assist from King making the room..

To be fair to Weston, their numbers 5 and 6 had good games too and we only scored after the 5 went off. I thought he was their best player and it showed because they were all over the place once he went off.

The officials werent bad but I don't know how they all missed that elbow incident. At least the ref wasn't one of the card happy brigade.

We wondered where you were today Squarevanman. It wasn't that dodgy Welsh ale last week was it? Hope you're better soon mate.

Agreed with all i think Steve King was superb today and Mambo did well, it was a good team effort and the only thing for me to say was about Tony Finn the guy has got talent that is clear as day but he drifts in and out of the game so much and does have one to many touches at times.

Well done for Jack scoring on his return and also Dean who as mentioned deserved his goal, Tom played ok and he gets in good positions and it was a nice finish.

Much improvd from last few games i have seen - come on welling !!

My dear Squarevanman, sorry to hear you've been poorly. As an expert in medical care can I suggest that if you have a balanced and varied diet it will assist with a speedy recovery.
Monday     Large donner kebab with salad and chilli sauce + 1 can of diet coke.
Tuesday    15" meat feast pizza with garlic bread + 1.5 ltr bottle of coke.
Wednesday    1/2 pounder cheese burger, fries + large strawberry milkshake.
Thursday    Chinese, any meal must have noodles + chinese tea.
Friday    Fish and chips (Haddock) + diet coke.
Saturday    Pie and mash, must have liquor + cup of tea.
Sunday    Liquid lunch (must have at least 8 bottles of EKU.

Here's for a speedy recovery.

Micheal Deane looked good yesterday, put in a vital tackle towards the end and cleared danger with a good header over the bar.

The important thing now is that we push on from here and continue the winning streak

Dear Trigger

Many thanks for your kind suggestion however I do not understand the word Diet which is placed twice before the word coke. Is this some government plot to ensure  a healthy intake of liquids? I will attempt to follow your sugestion but feel with so little food I will waste away.

Kindest Regards
SVM

Just watched the video and listened to Fordy's interview and some quick observations:-

Why the Weston sub picking his nose at the start of the game
Where was the Weston goalie's neck
Why could Fordy be seen to be what looks like break dancing just after Weston's goal

Interesting listening to the interview as Fordy's views on Haswell have gone from being "the best left back in non league foor ball" to "good riddance". Parttcularily agree with that phrase for Rocastle

Just listened to Fordys interview and very impressed with it, the only thing i would like to bring up to everyone is keeping the same squad for next week I for one hope he does as i thought we looked very good and created so much, though Weston were very poor.

On a side not Spills your celebrations in the video are classic mate!

PS James never tell you enough mate top job with the videos and everything mate, and you are not a ba keeper either!

I never understood why the best left back in non league would have been playing in the conference south and not for a team like Oxford. You wouldn't see Ashley Cole or Wayne Bridge playing for a team like Plymouth in the Championship. I would imagine the best left back in non-league is playing in the conference.

Just read on Chelmsford forum that Haswell had a mere for them yesterday. Highly over rated and clearly he had a negative impact on the team. There seemed to be a good team spirit yesterday, especially when we scored all the players run over to celebrate with the goal scorers. Good to see.

Cheers mate.

You might have to aswell lol

My mate BUBBLES and myself thought the goalie was a cross between JENSON the Burley keepey and GLASTONE SMALL the cricketer, i think played for Gloust and England (with hardly any neck)

I must admit, although their keeper had no neck he kept them in the game with some outstanding saves. I'm sure I was told that he was not their first choice goalie. So neck or no neck I thought he done well for them.

Much to be pleased about on Saturday with good performances throughout. Particularly nice to see Finn and Hurrell charging forward and often beating oppo players

A very good performance - but we had to be very patient before the goals arrived.  I suspect a degree of patience will also be needed Saturday.  Although it was a good performance against Weston, I am not so sure that we should start the same team.  Sometimes a bit of experience is needed in games such as these, so I reckon Lee Clarke may feature. But, hell, I'm not a football manager.  I think Andy may have a team selection problem of the best kind on Saturday, although I wonder whether Charlton will let Yado Mambo be Cup-tied.
