yeah have to say im looking forward to it already - is the worst draw possible but lets just make the most of it - there's no pressure on us as we are expected to lose so i say just go for it
We get to play with freedom as the underdog in the fa cup. With guaranteed money. How can this be a bad draw? Beat Dover and we fear no one for the final qualifying round.
Anyone who thinks this is a bad draw must be on drugs. Remember recent horrendous games vs clevedon etc etc.
How many coaches will welling take? 4 or 5? plus a few hundred by transport? get Charlton fans there too if they are away. Make it a huge day.

I can't say I share everybody's confidence. On the other hand, we are not expected to win. For the first 15 to 20 minutes when we played them, I thought they looked extremely worried - and don't forget we played with a threadbare team carrying injuries of all sorts.
I think we just go there and enjoy the day. If we win, fantastic; if we don't I'm sure the lads will give a good account of themselves. But don't wind Dover up in the meantime Jgfc - they'll only pin your comments up in their dressing room!

You're right your team is a shadow of the one we beat last time. Your best player that day plays for us now.
As for warning JGFC not to wind Dover up - waste of time chaps as he can't help himself. I bet when it's all done though he'll be posting on every forum going that he knew Welling were going to get stuffed and he's won XXX thousand pounds from betting on Dover. By the way we weren't too shoddy the last time we played you in the FA Cup!
With a lot of prize money at stake and big clubs like Luton and Oxford United in the draw for the next round, I'm sure it's the tie the club least wanted.
But Dover's priority has to be the league. We should have good support there with no danger of a lack of atmosphere this round, the players will be up for it and we should have a much stronger side out than we did for the league match.
And that is the major difference they've got him now. A big plus for us. Reminds me of what Churchill said when he heard the Italians had declared war on the allies in the 2nd World War. Apparantly said it was only fair as we had them last time.
2000 crowd plus . 1980 from Dover, thats if you take the same 20 supporters you brought last time. or, 2001 if JgFc can tear himself away from his dogs this time
Dover are shyte in the FA Cup. Welling are Shyte in every competition

let the french puff their chests out, we have not a single ounce of pressure on us. Fellow Wings fans, remeber they havent played at this level for years and they have forgotten their fa cup record.
shhhhhhhhhh everybody let them build this up we shall sneak in and out of france and hopefully get the right result.

Not sure in what way this is a good draw. 1,000 crowd max. 125 Welling fans max. as we do turn out in force for FA Cup games. Slim chance of going through.
Potters Bar, now that would have been a good draw.
I am gutted to be honest. Beating a club with a budget more double yours is a massive ask. There manager earns more than 3 times that our ours.

What a surprise you acting all billy big bollox on here. You maybe top of the pile at the minute but you soon forget how shyte you've been these past few years when we haven't had to bother with you. Our record against you isn't that bad and our history easily matches yours despite all the money you throw at things not forgetting your endearing habit of going tits up with money owed.
Is Craig Rocastle still playing unpaid for a contract?

Yes
TO BE FAIR TO CRAIG. MAYBE GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE KENT COUNTY LEAGUE (PYRAMID LEVEL 7) WOULD STUGGLE FOR KENT LEAGUE (PYRAMID LEVEL 5) PLEASE PLEASE PLAY CRAIG
To be honest I was hoping for an easier draw. Dover as I have seen are a fair side and deserved to beat us last Bank Holiday in my opinion. Although we were the better team until they scored their first goal. But before that we gave them a good fight and really took the game to them with us not at full strength. Irrespective as to what happens against B.S on Saturday we have a stronger side which is becoming more settled. Mr Ford should not have to find it too difficult to motivate the players as it'll be like a derby game. Couple that with them winning last time as well hopefully we'll be full of determination for the entire match.
I think we should be going into this game with a lot of confidence, yes they may have beat us 2-0 last time but we did have a few chances ourselves and they certainly didnt have it all their own way. With no premiership football on that day it would be nice to take a decent crowd with us, they have cover both ends so we should be able to make some noise . Who knows we could have another day out like Wimbledon.
