If you include Sheringham you can also count in Dean Cracknell as he chose to leave Stale Buns for Welling rather than be released.
Most players at this standard can be persuaded to move for more money.
I have no idea on what Sheringham was paid last year or is being paid this year. He said he wants to play for a club nearer his home. If that is the case i don't think that makes him a mercinary.
Sinclair probably got a pay rise but the big thing is he joined a full time club meaning training in the day rather than in the evening. That has to be a big plus.
Kevin James joined as a favour to Smith whilst sorting out a full time team (Woking again I believe). He cannot be classified as a mercinary for that.
Do you call Jamie Day and Danny Kedwell mercinaries? They went to a club in a higher league just like James.
The problem is at this level is if a player is given even a £5 more a week 9 times out of 10 they will take it as unlike Professional Footballers they are not on mega bucks. It is hard to take when you see players leave for more money but if you take a step back and put yourself in there shoes must people would take the extra money! Im not saying it is right but it is understandable.
