HT 1-1 this will be some result if we get a point after taking lead, having a man sent off then giving away a penalty. We will see if Proths can organise them and keep the focused.

Jesus, a bad result, but you're always one of the first to go on about negative comments and how we should get behind the team.

Not a great start to say the least.

Gary Abbott was interviewed on Radio Kent saying he is being interviewed Thursday and wants the job and would be gutted not to get it. Ive already said it wouldnt be my choice but we could do worse if he can stabalise matters.

I did have a lot of respect for Andy Ford. As others have pointed out that has practically gone, its clear he needed an experienced no 2 in the role and he also knew the budget at the start of the season and probably that it was unlikely to rise.He could have chosen not to continue in the role then. He has now picked the players which I am guessing that Louis and Finny are fairly well paid as we went after them close season and they would be on par with what they could get at similar clubs who are doing better than us. However neither are going great guns since the start of the season-has Mr Ford got the best from them and others probably not.

So now he has gone and left us with a team of his choosing, in a potential relegation battle, and a rudderless ship. Mr Parker and Mr Smith come before you interms of worse managers at PVR but you have run a close third in this race.

The result only tells one story. Who knows what would've happened if 11v11?

We dug in well after the farce with Sambrook's red card not aided by the ref showing a yellow for an elbow on Parky, even after pointing to his elbow.

Second half saw two blatant handballs ignored, they got the second goal & that was that until King was sent off despite "the ref admitting I got the ball."

As for the classless send off from their board...

i wouldn't be too hard on the team on this one. Bad form, no manager, down to 10 men early doors - did anyone expect anything after that? To then go down to 9 men with a dodgy ref we had no hope.

A yellow for an elbow?

So it was worse than it looks.

Back to Gary's post. Abbo has had a bit of experience now which is a plus. However we need to appoint the best applicant. Anyone disagree?

The best applicant, like Ford was, may not stick around when they're faced with our club in its current position (that's unlikely to change). Does anyone outside the club really know about the commercial side of the club, limited staff etc.

Don't think i would ever say this but it might be time to 'appoint from within' i.e. Abbo who knows the club and the history. Is that a step back or is it realistic for now? Unless there's a manager out there who fancies doubling up with other skills that could benefit the club?

I dont think Abbo would be the WORST choice IF something is done commercially. i would probably have Abbo as a Number 2 as let be fair hes won nothing as a Manager and is still inexperienced. We are not in a situation to gamble.

IF we had a commercial arm that was doing well and the budget was increased its less of a gamble but still a gamble.

I hope we appoint the best, experienced manager.

WRONG !... 3.1 is no reflection on the way Lee had the boys playing & up for todays game. Before the 1st sending off we was playing well, Tony Finn for once got the ball over for Jacks goal, then even after the sending off we was still a match for them. However Lee cant be blamed for a ref that thinks a elbow to the face is a yellow card !. ok Bakare should have not made the challenge to give away their pen, however his young & seems ( to me a better right back than Dean). So why not give Lee a run at the job ?. As for the 2nd half the lads never gave up. King was again my MOTM. gets better in each game, even carrys the ball out looking for the pass. We who was there know just how unlucky we were today.....
So lets get behind Lee & the lads, its the best ive seen them play this year.

with playing one up you must have a striker that can score. Any suggestions?

Match Report here:

Here's hoping City will include all these incidents in their video.

It was a good performance today for no reward and we now have 2 players facing suspension.  They say luck evens out over a season and,if true, we must be due a lot of good luck soon.  Examples of our bad luck today:-
Sambrook's sending off.  I couldn.t see this incident clearly but people nearer than me felt it was harsh.
Chelmsford's first goal, the penalty, goes in off the underside of the bar
Their second goal - the ball goes in after hitting after hitting the post and rolling along the goal line
The referee and linesman both missed awarding Welling a penalty for a clear handball
King was outstanding again and will be greatly missed in whichever game he is suspended from.  Who will partner Andrews in central defence if Mambo does not return from Charlton?
I felt that Parkinson and Finn had their best games for some time though Finn did fade again later in the match

For what its worth -

. We played well upto the sending off we were the better team and even ten minutes after still looked better - I didnt understand the sending off it looked like there giant overrun the ball and fell over that happens when you are 6ft 7 lanky prick.

. We deserved the lead and Finn did what we have all asked for a long while put the ball in at the right time, and a nice finish from Jack. We had some chances as well and the team looked good with some nice passages of play and Steve King once again being a rock at the back i for one fill Steve will not be here much longer unless we get him to put pen to paper which i hope he does. Then some of the most crazy moments i have ever witnessed at a game there centre back extended his arm and basically punched the ball away it was so blatant that the ref must have though he was seeing things.

. Lee was encouraging throughout and i liked the way he got animated and made the changes when we went down to nine all out attack as you never know what migt have happened - ( even though i felt in second half we were not going to score Stone just didnt do it for me ), Then something that i can not wait to see on the video a Chelmsford player tussuled with Hurell on the floor and then punched him in the back 5 feet from the ref i mean i saw it an at least another ten wings fans i spoke to from this most blatant foul they go on and score a third which i didnt see as i was in shock serious i could not believe it.

. So we lost i was impressed with the effort and the way we set out how to play and the lads can come out of this with there heads held high and as Name and Dob said prob the best they have been this year.

. I thought the singing was great and the fans really did get behind the team, i have never seen players roll so much and recover so quick as Chelmo players did at one stage i thought Haswell was going to have his leg removed. And on the way out i was told that we should have lost by 8 oh dear that man please take up watching badminton.

. Some positives to come out of this but we need a striker that we all fill confident will grab as a goal at any stage.

. AND REMEMBER GET IN FRONT OF YOUR MAN AND GIVE HIM A LIL WILLY TICKLE!

Ok aplologies to Lee and the players for the pathetic remark earlier.

Ok its video but Sambrook Red?
Penalty?
King Red when lurch was behind him?

Can we look at the betting patterns for this game because the referees decisions were either INEPT or CHEATING

Everyone can jump to conclusions JGFC but on this occasion you are right to retract the statment.

And i agree 100% about the betting patterns, I think that something went down yesterday or the guy needs to do his exams again!

We were terrific yesterday but we was badly done over by the ref and his linesman. I have NEVER EVER seen a more blatant handball in my life it was a disgrace. The sending offs were suspicious as well.

Best Bet for next weekend's games is Stevenage to beat Chelmsford. Chelmsford are a shadow of the side that they had last season and there best player Rainford went off injured yesterday. Lump on JGFC!!

Dizzie , one thing people will tell you about me is, if i am wrong i will apologise. Having seen the video of the incidents and been told by Russ, Name and DOB etc that the full story wanst shown in the score i am happy to completely retract my dig.

I wonder how many more incidents from this ref are available in various videos online.

If a ref is bad, then decisions usually get evened out, if hes sendiong off a teams oppo, giving penalties and set pieces and its all one way then you need to investigate his integrity and betting patterns.

I really cannot see how he sent off Sambrook, the King second yellow was a farce and the penalty dubious at best. If hes also denied stonewall Welling penalties and ignored Sam Hurrell being punched and also only yellowed one of theirs DESPITE pointing to his elbow, then there are reasons for being leniant for City and penalising us at every opportunity.

The Unibond recently investigated matches of one club for £100 bets placed.
