Waiting for the match to begin yesterday, and reading the programme I thought I recognised the name of the referee, but couldn't place the game.
As soon as the game started it came back - this was the official I had doubts about his competance and impartiality last season in our home game against CHELMSFORD ... when Graeme Andrews was sent off. From my recollection that was a very harsh decision and followed several earlier where he had given any benefit of doubt (generally from a considerable distance away) to Chelmsford.
Once again yesterday he had to have an escort leaving the pitch to avoid the wrath of our supporters.
Barrie, can I suggest you request the FA do not appoint him to any future games we have against Chelmsford.
peter, surely the first step is for lee, as manager to give the referee a low mark, with a letter explaining why, wait for reply then club takes next step if not happy with outcome.by the way the ref was hopeless even worse then the **** we had at home against, bishops stortford i know me onions, shallot.
Interesting Peter links the ref to dubious decisions in a previous match between the two clubs. The decisions shown yesterday are inept at best and downright dodgy at worst.
With investigations into match fixing in this league, if i were barrie i would request that the league investigate the betting patterns in that game.

The ref was worse than biased. It sounds like sour grapes, because i always think we get a raw deal from officials, but i have no idea why he sent King off. Also the hand ball was blatant and deliberate in or near the box and there is no way both officials could have missed it. I would also like to deplore the play acting, diving and general thuggishness of the Chelmsford team, a throughly horrible lot.
Its not sour grapes that handball was right in front of where i was standing both the ref and linesman had a good view of it i couldnt belive he got away with it. For all the fans that travelled there yesterday the whole game was spoilt by these idiots in charge. I feel sorry for Lee but his time in charge must start against Havant and forget about yesterday.
I am begining to wonder what discussions officials have before and during the season. A much lower league ref admitted to the secretary of my sons Sunday club that last season the refs were watching 2 particular players with a view to card them. Does this sort of thing really happen or was I being wound up?
The ref ruined the game and had there been a competent official I think we may have got something from the game as I didn't think Chelmsford were that good. Our luck must turn soon.
With the amount of clear penalties turned down and dubious sendings off we've had so far (not to mention the massive injury crisis earlier in the season) we should have 4 penalties, an og and playing against 8 men in the next match. PLEASE let it happen.

u lot really have ur rose tinted glasses on don't u? last time i checked if a player takes another player down as the last man thus stopping a clear scoring oppourtunity then it is worthy of a straight red card plus two bookable offences also mean a red card! as for match fixing get a life u tw*ts if there was any fix i'd look at ur manager first didn't he used to play for chelmsford? and one more thing the only thugs at mp were ur players hence the cards dealt by the ref oh sorry yes i forgot rose tinted glasses!!!

Granted, talk of a fix is just nonsense. But goalscoring opportunity? Even if the ball has been kicked about 20 yards forward and is virtually in the keeper's possession? I don't think so.
Marine have had a couple of matches investigated, Weston and Welling have had one. I also was given 2 dodgy matches to bet on both in the conference prem and both came up.
Some of those decisions are unjustifiable and burying your head in the sand does no good. no one is saying its bent just that that match could have been investigated for betting patterns due to the apparant bias and strange decisions.
