Surely what we need is a return from PVR's best ever manager, excuses, never any substitutions, abject home form. Those were the days. Perhaps Paul Parker could be his assistant, with Darren Adams as fitness coach? Just going for a lie down........................
Yep Luke Anderson always 'proven' at this level. Unfortunately proven to be a cart horse! While reminiscing is Terry Robbins involved in football in any capacity?
Nicky took his U18 KYL side to Fleet Leisure in the 2005/6 season where they played in the Kent County Premier League. Despite their youth and relative inexperience of adult football they retained their place in that league finishing 12th, narrowly avoiding relegation.
Despite a dreadful opening to the 2006/7 season when they failed to get a point from their 1st 7 matches they eventually finished the season in 5th place.
The 2007/8 season saw them finish 3rd, picking up the Inter Regional Challenge Cup on the way.
Last season Nicky took the team to the runners up spot in the League which realised Nicky's and his players ambition with the prospect of progressing the Club further by moving into the Kent League. However, the Committee took a different view. His coach left as did several players and Nicky stepped down.
I've not seen his name crop up this season but I hope that his experience at Fleet Leisure has not killed Nicky's passion for the game because if it has Kent non league football will be the loser.
