Ground does tend to drain away reasonably well being on a slope. It is raining quite hard with more predicted but if it stops and the winds that have been forecast come it should have a drying effect. Need to look at it tomorrow.
Anybody know whether there will be a pitch inspection tomorrow am and at what time? I have no desire to set out from the depths of East Kent if the game is off - especially as I am likely to be dragged around Bluewater. Dartford folks say that their ground is under water. I would have thought that our ground drains better as it is not so enclosed and not a newly-laid pitch. I would be much obliged if somebody could post a message on here as to whether the game is on or off asap tomorrow morning.

I'm in Southwark (just moved here) and there was a big black cloud above about half hour ago spitting out all sorts of thunder and lightning, and it was Welling bound. If it hits it shouldn't last too loong, but it might saturate the pitch. Either way I can't make the game as I'm still moving house. Gutted, but might make the Tonbridge game.

So does lavender :D
Just had a look and it's raining a bit, but it certainly isn't heavy by any means. The clouds don't look particularly dark either. I've seen matches at the Park View Road ground in far worse weather than this. Oh and the wind is blowing from Sidcup :O

Actually thinking about it, the only thing that might cause a problem with today's match are the strong winds blowing. Will cause problems when the ball goes up in the air!
*Edit* My final weather update :D It's 2PM and the rain has stopped. I'm off to the match now, and hopefully lots of people will also brave the weather :)
