Programme said he could be available on a game to game basis but couldn't be released last weekend. I think Charlton had FA Youth Cup.

It would Be Good to see him back, I dont think he did much wrong when here.
I might be wrong but is King injured as didn't Play on saturday?
If So Mambo would be good cover for him.

King is injured. Parkinson did well at centre half against Lewes but was suspended for Staines. Mambo seemed to be improving after a shaky start. An option on a game by game basis perhaps a tight call for me as to playing him as a stand in or using Parkinson there.

I would go for the Centre Half partnership of Parkinson and Andrews every time.

I disagree, Bruno. Tonbridge has a very strong midfield with the likes of Storey and, in particular, Lee Minshull who is a tough but clever player (I have seen him play for Ramsgate).  We need Yado in central defence to release Jack Parkinson into midfield, where we are missing the cup-tied Daisy and Lee Clarke, to counter the influence of Lee Minshull.

The Tonbridge game must be very important to the club as it is the last chance to gain some cup money this season and, possibly, strengthen Daisy's budget.  I wonder whether there will be a gamble to bring in a striker on loan who is not cup-tied?

Tonbridge are 5 unbeaten. I actually think this will be a tougher game than Staines, however if we play like we have been then we should have enough to edge it but this will not be easy what so ever.

As for Mambo get him in.

I would get Mambo back for the weekend (and keep him on board for the next few weeks as well) Hopefully Daisy's "contacts" could see a few more youngsters joining from that direction over the season.

The loss of the manager this weekend was unavoidable. However the loss of Clarke was poor management by the previous regime who allowed him to be cup tied (twice)

Agree with you Spills. I think it's going to be a tough game too.

A certain Mr Paul Booth scored 5 for them during that time and they've also got Jean-Michael Sigere and Carl Rook up front so quite formidable.

i would take the those so called journey men if they signed tomorrow without a doubt, we are in for a tough time on sun. Especially Booth whose goals for two and a half seasons were the difference between us and relegation.

I think you have called that one wrong JgFc - and somebody on the Tonbridge forum has just cut and pasted your comments (ignoring the other favourable comments on here about their three strikers).  Now the three gentlemen in question have even more motivation to put one over on us on Sunday!

Journeyman - not sure about that

Past their best - probably

Better than our current centre forward - most definitely.

My view is that the Parkinson/Andrews partnership has in the majority of cases proved very successful and you only have to look at Jack's performances and those of Daisy and Clarke in last week's midfield to put his performance playing there into context.  That is not a criticism of Jack who I rate as a player who can, when required, play in various positions and could even probably have done a better job up top than some we have seen at PVR this season.

I can see that with Clarke and Daisy cup tied and the squad we have there is an argument to play Jack in the midfield but would rather have seen a loan midfielder brought in for what is our last hope of getting additional revenue than break up the centre half partnership which has served us well both in the past and lately.

So who, plays in midfield on Sunday with Clarke and Day cup tied, Parkinson at centre back and Ryan Johnson possibly injured? If you bring in a midfielder we will be over run with midfielders once Johnson is back and Day and Clarke return. Personally I would get Mambo in until Kingy is back, leaving Parkinson to play centre mid with a patched up Johnson or Hurrell??

First point check their clubs from when Booth and Sigere played conference.
Second point , definitely not possibly
Third point, better than Whitnell now? doubt it, also probably on twice as much.

That's a good call, Spills.  I thought we would nab Pugh from Gillingham - a striker was our priority not another midfielder.  Yes, I can understand the central defence pairing of Andrews and Parks but, if our midfield is depleted for Sunday, it does not make much sense to bring in Yado if Parks is still going to play central defence.

As Spills says, we are already without Clarke and Daisy and, possibly, Johnson.  Don't forget also that Lee P. has now gone which may mean we do not have the luxury of being able to play Sambrook in midfield on Sunday.

Clarke needed games. If he hadn't played the Cup games at Cambridge he'd hardly have played!

Hello Mark X - I'm not depressed, I'm very pleased with our form of late.  What depresses me is that Dover look like snaffling Mambo from under our noses after Daisy told Kentonline, and wrote in our programme, that he was trying to get Mambo.

We shall now see how strong our links with Charlton really are if they are prepared to let Mambo go 70 - 80 miles down the road to Dover.

Hardly have played for Cambridge I meant. Seemed a reasonable idea at the time and he thinks he benefited from the spell.
