Great signing. Although lately with Finn and Loui fit and playing attacking football (love the way they can switch sides throughout the game) and Lee Clark looking fitter and sharper it's not as desparate as earlier in the season. Plus we've got Daisy's free kicks and possible shots from outside the box - something badly missing this season.
Our back four are looking good, Mitten doing well - we're not far away from a side who can get us into the top half.
I remember Pugh doing quite well before - scored a couple against Bromley (I think) but he is not the biggest.
With him, Faz, Finn, Hurrell we are not exactly Land of the Giants. We might be able to play some good football but at this level I think we lack some strength and power and have too many "luxury" players.....
With Pugh's signing, surely at least one of the other strikers will now be released. I would certainly hope it's not Whitnell. I wonder whether it will be Stone, Hobbs or Gaisie or perhaps even two of them.
Well we were talking about Whitnell on saturday behind the goal......our thoughts were that he is probably oe for a year or so's time...so we should keep him and play him too but not to expect the 20 goals a season that we need at the moment
Pugh knows where the net is and with Faz and Finn providing the crosses i think we should see a few goals from him

Another Hobbs last time apart from goals against Bromley. Seems to have done ok since though and is definitely welcome!
He did play just in front of the back four against Staines and never ventured forward as much as he use to. Wonder if that will be his preferred position? Still think he will turn games with a free kick or decent long ball.
He'll either play Parkinson or a new signing there, Daisy is not tall enough, strong enough, etc for permanent holding role if we want to be up the top of the table anytime soon. Like Scholes, great all-round player but his tackling is sometimes mis-timed. He has a record of lots of bookings for this.
Would love to see the team develop over the next few weeks and Daisy to end up playing behind a front two a-la Fabregas.
We have to keep Whitnell, 7 goals in 9 starts or thereabouts he will be a goal machine, Stone was not the best but can't see the point of Pugh, he is very similar to what we have got.
I don't remember Pugh being that good when he was on loan to us before when Smith was in charge. Quite lightweight which is not really what we need with Stone being released.
