Would hate to have someone who has turned us down twice and chases money at the club. Looks like Mambo is going to Dover, and I see Stone has been released.

I have been made aware today of something that I think we should all be aware of. Danny was not my favorite player and I was disappointed when we signed him, however, he signed a season long contract which would have allowed him to stay here, take his money and not "bother to get fit etc". Why do I say he is a gent, because on discussions with Glen he recognised he was not performing to the standard we needed and due to injury and time required he would not figure for some time. He acknowledged this and accepted that our club could not recruit another striker without the budget. He agreed therefore to cancel his contract to ensure both he and the club could move on immediately.
I would say that there were a number of last years squad in similar circumstances that just kept taking the money, Danny did not.
To you Danny, I will say I am glad to have had the chance to put the record straight, you are a gent.
