Thoroughly deserved today. I thought we were the better team for the majority of the game although Tonbridge did have a long spell of possession just after half time. Great finshes from Pugh and Whitnell everyone played there part today and lets go and get 3 points Tuesday.

Totally agree. 3-2 really flattered Tonbridge (and their second goal looked as though it was a foul on Charlie). Thought we were much the better team and that Tonbridge didn't really threaten very much. Goals were really well taken and Tommy was unlucky not to have a hatrick. Came away feeling pretty positive.

Tommy's looking increasingly like the 20 goals a season man we've been searching for.
Today, 2 chances, 2 goals.

4 chances 2 goals I reckon. It looked like he tried to walk the 3rd in. Still agree with the sentiment.

Get Whitnell on a long term contract asap or we will regret it.

Tom Parkinson (Younger brother of Jack) who had a great game for Maidstone in their win against Bromley on Saturday in F A Trophy

Ruthers and Dolby were there as well. Were stood at the barrier at the road end in 2nd half.

Tom wasn't the only up and coming young player there today.  I saw one about whom Jamie knows a lot more.

Totally agree with the comments about Whitnell he is getting better every game. Also special mention for Pugh, he came in and looked like he had been playing in this team all season. He scored a brilliant debut goal and has clearly improved since he was last with us. You can see why a few Conf National sides wanted him. Well done to Daisy and Ash for bringing him in.

Lets get behind the boys on Tuesday and try and make it 5 win on the bounce!

The full Hastings management triumvirate were there today no doubt checking out both Tonbridge Angels and what they can expect should they manage to get promotion this year.

Anyone have a rough idea of what the attendance was for the Tonbridge game? They haven't mentioned it on the Official site in the match report.

Not bad for a Sunday. Tonbridge had 70 - 80 behing the goal and there were quite a few of their supporters in the stands.

Proths said he's training with Cheltenham at the moment and has had offers from Ryman level clubs. He said he'd prefer to stay in this division though.

Thankfully ive never gone to Chelmsford for a 3 mile Novice Chase!

I did see the greatest ever Welling Own Goal there (Cheltenham) , it was like Bentleys Free Kick against Wigan. Also seem to remember a pub crawl after a game and pelting it to get the last train as the guard was whistling for it to go. Worse places to be stuck than Cheltenham.

Collins o.g. at Stafford for me.

Train was never in doubt, although are you sure that lash up wasn't after a game at Newport where we stopped off for a couple?

Bit late, but cracking performance on Sunday. Was quite impressed by Pugh and Whitnell, we do need someone to hold the middle though. Too many gaps opening up.

(this was the first game I've been to since Charlton, I know a lot's changed!!!)
