Welling United skipper Jack Parkinson hopes that the fans will raise their voices for their first round tie against Eastbourne Borough.

The east Sussex side are presently one place above the relegation zone in the Blue Square Premier table.

The Wings defeated in-form Ryman Premier League outfit Tonbridge Angels 3-2 at Park View Road yesterday - a game where home fans failed to create any sort of atmosphere against their Kent rivals, who play one division lower.

"Its always nice to get a home draw, the versatile 19-year-old told www.kentishfootball.co.uk. Hopefully there will be a few people there to create an atmosphere".

I totally agree with Jack
We need to get behind the team more. I think away from home vocally we are one of the best in the league. At home we are just so quiet, unless we are facing one of the leagues bigger sides.

We need to try raise the noise level at PVR and really get behind the team starting tommorow.

COYW!! Lets make it 5 in a row!!!

The only problem with Welling home games is that the crowd don't make enough noise. This changes when has already been said, we play a really good team, or it's some sort of bank holiday. The Boxing Day fixture against Bromley will be particularly busy and noisy.

Definetly agree Spills, away from home we sing almost all the time. But at PRV it's rather subdued.

Lack of cover at each end makes it difficult to create an atmosphere. I notice at away games when Wings Supporters are under cover the singing increases - or at least I can hear it better from the comfort of my seat.

i think that is the biggest factor and the only teams i can think of in the last few years who actually made any noise are newport and that fa cup hornchurch game other than that the atmos is usually always flat at pvr

Every club is better supported vocally away from home from Manchester United to Welling United.

Lack of cover does undoubtedly have some impact but I think a lack of alcohol probably makes a far bigger impact.

I would rather have no atmosphere , than some retard with a drum like Tonbridge had.

Very wise Slim - you would have got it.

Can't remember which ground it is - Thurrock? But they ban all drums and other musical instruments. I remember being at Bishops Stortford and they were complaining that they wouldn't be allowed to bring their instruments to their next away game.

Those guys at Bishops Stortofd are very fond of a tuneless, out of time piece of annoying crap.

We should ban all instruments - especially drums, as well.
