Apart from the ridiculous mistake in booking Jamie I thought the ref had a good game. The black linesman was pathetic though. He didn't keep up with play, missed a lot of offsides and generally looked at the ref before raising his flag.

I agree about the referee. Normally at our level they are completely useless, but the one we had yesterday did a good job. All i ask is that a referee sees what is happening on the pitch, not what the opposition want him to see, and acts accordingly. I wasn't aware there was a linesman on my side of the pitch!

I thought this was one of the best refs we have seen for a long time.  Not overbearing, and was happy to let the game go as much a possible.  Seemed to appreciate that the conditions had a large effect of the game.

Also shut their bench up very early when their manager shouted across to him that they should have had a penalty.  Ref shoots right back "yes I could have given you a pen, but I would have been wrong". Well, it made me laugh.

Disagree about booking Daisy.  I thought he was lucky not to get booked earlier.  Also Clarke was lucky not to get a yellow for trying to ref the game.  I think it is a mark of a good ref. that he does not get upset by players moaning.  Shows he is comfortable with his own authority (or he is too scared to book anyone)

Wasn't a penalty though - bet Worcester didn't think he was great.

Chelwing I must say I agreed with you at the time but after seeing the video I can see why the Ref gave it. There defender came in on Faz from a ridculous angle meaning that any contact as minimal as it maybe is going to be enough to tempt the ref into giving the pen.

Wasnt a penalty, Daisy shouldnt have been booked. their number 6 was all elbows and pushing and pulling. He was an OK ref, unbiased and got most things right.

On a side note, Jack was terrible for the first half hour looked like he had been out clubbing. Or was it the coaching in the morning affecting him. Hes a Superb player, he may have had a bit of flu etc.

Come on parky, from the off next time and make it one bad game.

Wingnut is correct and having Daisy and Clarkey chirp at the ref is what we should be doing.

Jack shouldnt be captain even though he is class hes too young, he coaches and he is still developing as a player. Give it to Clarkey or Mitten

I wouldnt be that happy about a goalkeeper being captain but  Clarke would be a good shout.

I think it would make sense to make Clarke captain. He acts like he is anyway :)

The thing with making mitten captain is that Daisy would be in midfield to organise them and the forwards and mitten can organise the back 4 and holding midfielders and still communicate with Daisy.

He is a model pro, respected , it never stopped Dino Zoff or Shilton.
