I cannnot see any contract players being released ,they would have to be paid off. bruno thanks for clearing up my posting. i got big onions thats shallot .
surely must be Oberstellar ?? non-playing sub in the first game, dragged off having been sh*t in the second game, and then un-used sub in the other two after that. Bye bye.
Unbelieveable decision re King. Has no one at the club told Daisy how well he's played this season? I'm sure he'll have no difficulty finding another BSS club and will probably score against us. Also seems another confirmation that we're trying to have the smallest team in the league!
well I am probably very wrong BUT I have to think that he has something up his sleeve...or lets bloody well hope so
Well we have seen just how good his first two signing have been !!........ Have we now got the new Raffa of BBS ?....... Can't make the 8th of Jan, but i would love to know why he got rid of Steve & Ryan ?.
He did say he may have to offload 2 and bring 1 in.
You have to say that with Hobbs on the bench, how did he not release Oberstellar and Gaisie and keep King and Ryan
So expect a midfielder from Grays or Gillingham to come in? He really must like sambrook as who else is gonna play right back now?
Im confused but hopefully Daisy has it covered. We will have to wait and see but offloading 2 players who are at least this standard while keeping others who are not is weird.
Must be budget? if its not.... Paul Parker management is back.

I think Daisy has got this wrong. It must be a budget cut, otherwise why release two good players? Absolutely disastrous decision to offload Steve King - I wonder whether he will play against us for Bromley on Boxing Day as a replacement for Rob Gillman? Either that or he is off to Dover or Braintree.
Using the same logic as the Steve King episode (offloaded after playing half a game for Daisy) will James Lawson go back to Chelmsford next year? I really hope that Jamie has a player or two lined up, preferably better than those who have left.

Got to say that I am a little surprised. Ryan Johnson may be a jack of all trades (master of none?) but a utility player that is always useful at this level of football and I wouldn't think he was one of the bigger earners.
King is obviuosly popular with the majority on here (has anyone checked that Dizzie is ok?!) but we have to trust the management team and let them get on with it. Perhaps they have some ideas to freshen up the squad. perhaps they don't.
However, in my opinion, we need to support their decision.
I wouldnt necessarily say the budget was cut like some have suggested because we have had a lot of home games in recent weeks. Releasing Gaisie for example, who is probably earning sod all, wouldnt serve any purpose, whereas getting rid of Johnson and King, would free up funds for other people to come in. Strange time to do it though with so many games over the Xmas period.
I said before that i felt the reason we went for Day was for monetary reasons as we got a player and a manager. I reckon the reason King was released was for budget reasons.
Agree that there are players who I would have shown the door to before King on performances but that is only part of the equation and we are not privvy to the other parts. We need to let Daysy make the judgements and give him and the team our support, most certainly in what are very early days in his managerial career.

Personally I think we needed to release someone from the back to give the management team some more money for a midfield player. Which is needed as the defence has been looking solid of late. We need a playmaker in the middle of the park alongside daysy to supply the forwards. Give the management time, they will get it right.
Yes, we have had a run of home games but the attendances have been abysmal given our recent form and results. I know it is near Christmas and money, generally, is short - but how can the club sustain this level of football, and pay players to gain a reasonable league position on such attendances and without a main sponsor?

Like we don't have to many in midfield already. Faz, Finn, Hurrell, Parkingson, Clarke, Cracknell, day, cutler, Johnson (gone) Bakare As for recognise defender's Sambrook, Dean, Andrew's ( center back) oh & obersteller, who has played like micky haswell twin..... So as for a playmaker was'nt that what Jack ment to be ?.....
People have been going on about the back four but our problem at the moment like a few have said is scoring goals , were not letting many in at all but were not scoring many at the other end i think we have scored 1 in the last 3 games .
Its already been said and I cant add any more apart from releasing King is a wrong move and I am suprised at Ryan going-what Daisy sees in Sambrook is beyond me.
Yes I will support the management but I am entitled to an opinion and mine is that its the wrong call

Bryan You speak for us all. i'l support the team as per normal, but the new management still has to show me they are releasing these player's to bring in better ones. So far this not happen !...

Agree Mr Nut with the top part ..... he was not having a great spell but he can play, and agree he was not a massive earner im sure.
And King going is a DISGARCE ... Budget = No .... Not good enough = No ......... I have been told what Andy ' one pass ' Sambrook is earning in the region off and NO WAY is King near that area, look at it this way guys the two players HE bought in have done nowt part from stand in centre Mid and the only thing he has created is a area of pitch which is ruined due to the lack of movement ... and this other guy lobster we dont know do much do we ... maybe he can take a decent throw in?
King has been seen by me at two home games with his partner cheering on the team and then this ..... LOOK HE WAS ARE BEST OUTFIELD PLAYER FACT ... it was a mistake .... and unless we are getting in John Terry i aint going to be happy ... do you think John would charge people to look round Danson park?
Youve lost me im on about free kicks and getting shots on goal and finding players in the box. On that basis Daisy should be taking them. Full backs and wingers can take corners.

Ok JGFC, i hear you , BUT letting Steve King go is a big mistake, Jack is not a centreback, ive only missed 2 games this year & like Dizz says Steve has been our best out player, besides Caz Mitten. Now so far days two signings have not inpressed anyone, so who his going to bring in to replace Steve. ok Jacks done a good job at the back, how many yellows is he on ?, god forbid he picks up a long term injury, then what ?.
As for goals hopefully Tommy is due back, & we have Pugh.
What Daisy has fecked up on is that King was a good player and would have stuck around.
The younger players are in the facebook era. They are all on eachothers facebooks and talk about whos on what money etc.
With colchester sniffing around Jack. Or if he did go in 4 or 5 months time. We've just released someone who would have been a first X1 player in King.
So its not that clever if you ask me.
As has been said Daisys first signings have been a load of sherman. So he needs to bring in a class player to play a defined position and improve the team. By releasing King weve shot ourself in the foot for next season at the very least.

It's interesting how many people who were excited by the appointment of Day are now on his back? Maybe an experienced manager would have been the better option if Welling could have afforded it. I imagine there were a number of experienced applicants within the 50 who applied?
