LOL Hess said about 3 times thats the budget done IN PRE SEASON and brought more in. And during the season he stated we wont go over budget the Chairman refuses to do that again..
So what do you do when you get tonked for two months... YES.. get more money out and go over budget again.
Splendid Stuff!

sounds like Hess talks before he thinks. i remember Newport weren't happy with his champagne comments about them and all the flannel pre-season about Sheringham.
anyway i'm glad Hess is about - i now know what a bulldog chewing a wasp actually looks like.
Their crowds are decent, but the thing is they were already over budget and then brought in 2 or 3 players with some of them on £800 a week if their supporters are correct. Their crowds are not sure to stay this high the way they are playing.
Theres only so many times you can say that you are now on budget then increase it again and again and again for the crowds to be covering them.
As many have said, they do not seem to learn. A lot of people are following it with interest and i doubt if people will be so sympathetic and generous if they go to the wall again with the buckets out.
How many teams have we seen try to buy this league and then go t1ts up?

No one would have gone otherwise. But yes its a decent gesture. I think its one coach. Going to cost then £500 minimum. JP obviously thinks that the support will get them the win and he will get the £500 back and more in prizemoney. Its pretty sensible business.

In my humble opinion I think good luck to anyone who is prepared to take a gamble. If risk analysis has been carefully considered and if the targets are acheived, i.e getting promotion, will their finances allow them to continue to be a viable going concern next season when in my opinion it will be challenging to maintain the same income/expenditure. VAT has now gone back up, higher interest rates to follow. A concern of mine is what the new Government will introduce to recoup the money that is needed to repay our national debt. However, my biggest concern is regarding good governance. I have no faith here and feel that it is a brave man/woman who goes over budget today.
I'm going back to my padded cell, I've given myself a headache.
HMRC are getting fed up with football clubs never paying them back. Portsmouth are the most recent case and Southend had to pay up earlier in the season. I think clubs will have to be more careful now as they will not get as mch time to pay debts back.

My dearest BBB, the topic of myself standing for the Premiere position has been mentioned before. The problem is that I am constantly in demand to run the country here and abroad. Due to my over whelming worldwide popularity and sence of fair play to all I was summond to a meeting of all world leaders and was 'advised' not to stand for election in any part of the universe. This demand increased ten fold after the Daily Telegraph broke the news about MP's mis-use of expenses. Being a leader of all things living brings its own challenges, just be thankful your not as unique as myself.
