One of the most one sided games this season, we fully deserved to win. hard to pick MOTM, good all round team effort. I thought our tackling was extremely good, chased every ball, excellent performance.
Welling were the better team today, always room for improvement ,rome not built in a day. Andrews out with injury sambrook played centre half never troubled, CUTLER went to right back looked comfortable played well. ITS been a great week well done MR DAY, and rest of the team, bring on weymouth. caressing my onions there bloody freezing, thats shallot
Excellent performance from everyone today. We could have won by 3 or 4 at least, but I'll take the 3 points anyday. Hard to choose a motm as everyone played so well, but I think Faz deserves a special mention. Running at the defence, going past the defence, checking back and causing problems in general. Overall, a good afternoon out, with good company and seeing Trigger being let out of the padded cell Bring on Weymouth for another 3 points.
Forgot to say, as if it's never been said before, when we played the ball on the GROUND and not in the AIR, we caused them no end of problems. What is the point of hoofing the ball in the centre, only for their No. 5 to head it? We have the players, who have the ability to run at people, let's utilise this please.
Much better second half performance from us today and a deserved victory although we should have scored more. Can only rememember Charlie being called to action once. I would have settled for two wins over the Christmas period.
Need to push on from here, shame Weymouth are just hitting some form.
Great game what a good way to start the New Year. Thought we played some great football my MOM had to be between Parkinson who i felt had a very good game and Fazza who run his nuts off. Good to see so many Welling fans there as well made the day that much better.. I also like the away kit thought the boys looked good :)
For me MOM was Day - ran the midfield and some of his passes were top drawer. However agree with comments about other players as well. Particular mention to Sambrook who didn't put a foot wrong and Louis - I am not one of his greatest fans but his last few performances have been much better.
I also felt from a tatical point of view we got it right today - played it on the ground and got their defenders turning by playing it into the channels. Learnt from the harsh defeat on Boxing Day and Bromley look very ordinary. We were different class today.
Second half was the best 45 I' ve seen from us all season.
Also I believe that is the first time this season we have played the whole match with a right sided midfielder on the right and a left sided midfielder on the left. And we put in a great performance and are rewarded with 3 fine away points. Funny that!

good to see some good strong tackles going in too. only thing missing was another couple of goals. Still team played very well. Lets now smash weymuff.
Well done to the club for getting the community scheme on the shirts.
Now is the time to go to town with flyers, posters etc of Fixtures and Events incorporating the "shirt sponsor".
Advertising with a little subliminality could pay dividends here long term. Can the club pull a few rabbits out of the hat in the local community? Is Jim Dean still community officer?
Its not hard, anything run by the club or advertised ... just utilise the tagline "Welling United Community Scheme" and also come up with just one new thing that supporters (new supporters) can get involved in.
Well done on using the shirt space, but maximise from it and reap the benefits.

We were all over them yesterday, their keeper (for all the stick the pizza boy took ) made a few fine saves. Should have been a lot more. Was a nice morale boosting win over our "local" rivals at least in their turf, great way to start the new year.

100% - Hurrell gives balance and is happy to receive the ball, also dangerous with it. Welling are a much better side when he is playing there, like when he came on as sub against chelmsford at home
It was my first game for a while (can't always get saturdays off work and don't live in the area any more) and was my first away game this season. How on earth did we lose to that shower of ****e the other week? They were crap. But we were great and that's the best I've seen us play for some time. Pretty much dominated and I felt sorry for Charlie who had naff all to do! It was refreshing to see the ball mostly kept on the floor and passed around in a positive attacking fashion. If I've got one criticism it's that the play got a little predictible with all the passing out to the wing, which some teams might find easy to defend against after a while. But on the field at least, things are looking ok.
