As you might imagine, the pitch is still 100% covered in snow - and thus the game on Saturday is extremely doubtful.
That said, we are going to do all we can to try and get the pitch playable. Therfore, we intend to work all day on Friday to remove the snow and see where that gets us!
If you can spare any time during the day on Friday (after 8.00am) please come on down and see if you can help. If you have spades/wheelbarrows/brooms or a prayer mat - please bring them with you!!!
Free entry to the game for all that turn up.

if they clear most of the snow friday, cant see why it wont be on unless there is some sort of noah's ark type scenario where we would all have to swim to the game, heres hoping anyway i need my football fix
If snow has been heavy it will take quite a while for hihger temperatures to thaw it out. It's probably compacted as well so very doubtful. As Stafford said out in the sticks will mean it's colder.
Having been up to the ground clearing snow from the pitch this morning i'd be very suprised if the game is on tomorrow. we started clearing the snow from the penalty areas and the pitch was still very frozen underneath, the groundsmen decided that we were not really getting anywhere and they were going to leave nature to work its cause, but with it looking wet in places already and more rain forcast i think the pitch will be pretty waterlogged by kick off tomorrow, we will just have to wait and see
Might mean a bumper crowd for Thurrock - out of sheer needing to see some footy action...and of course for our club announcer to learn the pronunciation of all our new signings that came to a total of £6.5k in the January sales
