John Busby, anyone go to the basingstoke away game? was same ref. He was shocking last night allowed us to get kicked to pieces and never booked their players. We didnt even get free kicks for many of the challenges. one was bordering on assault on Sam Hurrell. Then he books Clarkey!

At times like this you have to question what on earth he is doing refereeing at this level. Was it just coincidence that every decision seemed to go their way and fouls went unpunished?

The assault on Sam Hurrell was right in front of the linesman. What was he playing at in not waving his flag like a lunatic? They expect to be called assistant referees but they only look at defensive lines and touchlines.

Shocking!!!

Mark i was by the lino by our dugout in first half and he never flagged for a foul at all, worryingly he let yaku go offside 4 or 5 times and never flagged once. I have a strong feeling that Busby is one of those refs that tells his Ass Refs that they are only to flag for offside, corners and throw ins. The Ass Refs simply cannot have missed some of those fouls/assaults.

Im getting worried that Refs are scared of Barwick's association to Hampton as we seemed to get very home team biased refs there, and bearing in mind these are terrible fouls and two footed tackles it could lead to a player being badly injured if refs let them get away with it.

More on last years fiasco with the stand too... If this is a fixed stand i am Geoff Boycott. They truly are a vile club and do what they like.

I bet if hampton videod it the fouls wont be in the highlights. I am going to see if they do a match dvd.

You're correct in saying the stand in the photo is not a permanent structure but you're wrong in assuming that it's the stand involved in last season's ground-grading for the BSP. That was going to be a permanent structure behind the far goal but it didn't have to be built in the end.
As for the comments about Brian Barwick, I doubt if a ref at this level is even aware of who a club's directors are and, in any case, he only joined the board this season so your theory doesn't work for any earlier disgruntlement you seem to imply.

Not strictly true. Barwick was certainly involved before the end of last season. I don't know about the year we lost 4-0 to Mr Phipps though.

If you don't think referees know when there are people who could be of influence are around you are somewhat naive.

Barwick was definitely there last year when the grading stuff was going on wether he was a director then i have no idea.

And THAT stand is the only "temp stand" there so it isnt the concrete stands that have been there years is it? I am pretty certain that that "temp" stand is what belatedly satisfies the seat quota.

Lets be fair, you were short on seats and if that stand isnt needed, Quite simply it wouldnt be there. No way is that stand not temp.

RED, YELLOW, BIRTHDAY, CHRISTMAS or NONE

Our ground isn't exactly great, but Hampton's is a joke. It doesn't meet BSS criteria in my opinion, and having some temporary seats there in a temporary stand, that are sectioned off anyhow, is totally pointless.

Temporary or not, that stand doesn't even look SAFE! There's no way I'd sit on that thing.

Kev i always struggle to see the difference between ineptness and cheating when i see so many things go unpunished for one team.

I concur, it really was a disappointing performance from the officials last night ... Im not expecting preferential treatment, just consistency.

Just shows you how much bottle and team spirit our players have to come back in the midst of tackles like that.

Yaku had his foot round one of our center halfs necks last night and they carried on playing!!

Obviously not foot up there then as it broke to Hampton briefly.

The one that was given as a corner was a foul on Loui Fazakerley. It should have been a free kick, if not a goal kick, but never a corner.

This may be the foul that left Sam Hurrell in a crumpled heap for a long time with the referee showing no interest in stopping play.

This was not the one that left him on the ground - that was another one nearer the half way line. What about the elbow off the ball but in front of the linesman.

I think the very fact that we are all of different opinion and confusing the "tackles" just goes to prove that there were so many questionable incidents. It really was a very one-sided performance from the homer.

Making it three years in a row. Do you remember Mr Phipps sending Chris Moore off for handball when the ball was hit at him?

The one nr the halfway line was the assault the other ones were just cynical fouls going for limbs rather than the ball. There were 2 just outside the box in the space of 3 minutes. It was nice to see Parky and Daisy talking to the ref without getting abusive. Sadly it never helped as the ref just continued not to see very bad fouls. Not miss one or two. If there was a video, the foul highlights would be X Rated.

Mark is on the money we have had Referees that have given us nothing 3 straight years at Hampton but Tuesday night was terrible. Im proud of our players for not starting a brawl when the ref appeared to allow them to kick us all over the park.
