I liked Amy Fearn's comment after her appearance as the ref in the latter stages of Saturday's match at Coventry (the first time a woman has refereed in a Football League game. 

"I understand there was a big reaction from the crowd but I don't remember it at the time. I'm glad there was nothing controversial in that twenty minutes - football should be about the players not the officials."

If only many of the refs we've seen at PVR would pay heed to the last sentence.
