Match Report and Video Highlights now online:

http://www.wellingunited.com/tpl/matchdetails.php?id=57

Had to dash off again after the game so didn't get a chance to interview Jamie Day.

Number 10, aka Mustafa Tiryaki should have gone far earlier, disgraceful performance!

Check out the video and you will see what I mean!

James

To add, Mr Finn didn't look too happy at the final whistle...

James,

Do you know something we dont about Finny or was it just frustration?

Dont know how many balls went out of the ground today at the Park end but we must be down at least £200 assuming its 50 notes for a decent one these days and I didnt see too many coming back in.

Indeed sir, same thought crossed my unstable mind. Seemed to want to get off before shaking the hands of our friendly, fair-playing opposition.

Yeah I thought Finn looked pissed off as well, but to be fair im pissed off with him!!!

In all my time of watching the mighty wings i have never seen a more frustrating player, he has so much talent but for whatever reason he just doesnt produce. He will beat a player with a great bit of skill and pace and just when you and the rest of PVR are screaming for him to release it he try's anohter trick and loses it. Shame as on his day he can be a match winner but we have rarely seen that this season.

Just my opinion but to me Finn looks like he has fallen out of love with the game. Cant see him being here next season.

Let finn go if the rumours are true he is one of the highest paid players at club bloody expensive luxury.
How many goals has he scored ? how many has created ?
I have been a big critic of fazza but he has given 100 per cent , so he gets the nod from me over finn every time, all we need now is someone to be brought in to challenge fazza for next season subject to fazza getting a new contract.

Having seen the incident and looked at it on the video I can't understand how their number 5 stayed on the pitch. He clearly pulled Clarke back and was last man. Straight red in my opinion.

I said just after the start of the match that the number 4 would be carded. He was leaving his foot in and elbowing every time he got near the ball.

It's strange that from my view the number 5 pulling down Clarke seemed nothing and I did not even include it in my report. Having since seen the video I probably should have.

Ian Selley should have been sent off against us in a Trophy match for Woking a few years ago. If he is like that against everyone else I don't know how he ever completes a match.

Tiryaki needs to go on an anger management course. He was mad from the first minute.

Selley is just a thoroughly unpleasant piece of work, simples.

The second yellow that led to the red card for their number 10 I think was harsh, foul yes, second yellow to get sent off ?? harsh as I say, but fact remains, he had committed enough fouls, that I dont think he can complain if they "tot up" and he ends up sent off. Also, the stamp, he clearly left his leg in there for a several seconds, and although unclear if he meant to stamp on him, why would you leave your leg in there if that wasnt going through your mind ... you would be busy retreating to your centre half position to continue play.

For the second sending off you can clearly see their manager going mad even before the second yellow is shown, he doesnt even deem the late tackle to be a foul, what a joker.

Finn's reaction sums up his attitude in general .. appalling. That, and his poor decision-making and "all about me not the team" attitude is why he hasn't made it at other clubs, and hasn't made it at Welling. I'm not afraid to say good riddance to bad rubbish. Free the money up asap for someone else who cares.

He has scored one goal all season, and that a two yarder anyway, and you can probably count the goals his lapses have led to for the opposition in greater number than the goals he has personally contributed to for one of his team-mates.

He did one constructive thing yesterday, not shown in the highlights, where he brilliantly beat two players out on the right wing (did the hard bit), and then when a team-mate was screaming for it in the centre to tap in to an empty net, he tried to beat a third man and lost it. Shortly after Havant had two good chances, so Finn's lack of team play could have cost us points and resulted in a 1-1 draw.

Finn out ... sorry, I don't like players like that. Send him wherever Ming and O Smith have gone ... hopefully to the pub leagues. File all three of them under "Show-pony, no end product". Thanks.

No argument from me Kevin. He has not justified the bagful of our hard earned cash that he takes home every week. Should be ashamed of himself but somehow, I doubt he is.

Just to prove I can still agree with you your comments on Selley and Tiryaki are spot on! I remember the Selley challenge at Woking. Was in line with the Clarke incident and thought Clarkey looked for it a bit. That said don't think the ref was interested in brandishing red at that stage how prophetic that turned out to be!!

Couldn't agree more - two of their subs were discussing him at half time, and saying what an idiot he was! In the 2nd half he was in the stand, shouting to Havant to stick the boot in, or words to that effect. Not sure why a manager would want someone like that in his team.

He's a centre forward and has been with them since opening day, yet only scored twice in the league. Perhaps that were the frustration has come from smile.gif
