Does anybody *want/need (*delete where applicable) a programme from the St Albans City away game. They didn't have any on the day. Anyway, I've got 9 spare!!
How so, I hear you ask. We-e-ell, I had a bit to drink that day (like you do) and, under the influence, left my bag on the terraces at Clarence Park. Not being able to find it (cos I was too pished!) I let it go. A couple of days later a guy called Steve Eames rang me and told me he'd got my bag (complete with portable dvd player - well, one needs something to play one's porn on when on the train!). Steve works for the club and, cheekily, I asked him about the programme situation. The upshot is that I got my bag back today and Steve had put 10 programmes in my bag.
If anyone wants one, see me at the Lewes game and they can have one for free. How's that for service?
Their progs have been a real mish-mash over the years which probably reflect the feast or famine nature of their finances. This effort is bettered by a number of the Eastern League teams up here.
