Information from National Rail website for Braintree on Good Friday.

Bexleyheath line to London Bridge
Underground to Newbury Park (must be a change at Bank)
Replacement bus to Romford
Train to Witham
Train to Braintree

From Kidbrooke 2 hours and 40 minutes journey time with only a 2 minute connection in Witham. Could get to Paris or  Brussels quicker.

Fraid not, National Express involves a wait at Stanstead Airport whatever time you go. This would take even longer. On a positive note can't find any roadworks planned for Friday. (Famous last words).

Impossible to get to a local station and bus from there? 3 hours to get to braintree is a farce.

I aim to run most of the way as I am so fit and it is quicker than train. Leaving in 10 minutes - see you there.

I thought about getting 486 to North Greenwich then Jubilee Line to Stratford and getting a train from there, but the whole Jubilee line is closed on Good Friday so its not going to be easy to get to Braintree..

That was one of my thoughts but from stratford its underground to Newbury Park then bus to Romford. Believe me I have looked at as many possible ways I can think of including barge, hovercraft and pogo stickbiggrin

If they dont get promoted to the Conf Prem. Braintree will probably go into the Conf North next year. If we dont go up this year hopefully we wont have to play them next year.

Just a tip, we got to Braintree from Dover in just over 2 hours by getting the highspeed to Stratford then direct from Stratford to Braintree. Only the one change. Hope this helps. Was quite cheap to on the groupsave.
