I think on recent performances John Terry is lucky to still be in the England team. He'll be a liability in the World Cup. He gets away with so much in the Premier League but I don't think he will with the refs in the World Cup.
I don't think Ferdinand is any better either but we're short of decent centre backs.
Dawson may get the nod on his recent form. I haven't seen anyone better lately.
Good to see that Ashley Cole is on the mend. We'll certainly need him in the World Cup. Aaron Lenon too.
It's going to be difficult picking the strikers. Defoe and Crouch aren't playing that well at the moment so do you take Zamora and/or Bent?
Goalkeeper is probably the biggest headache. James. Hart, Green, Robinson. None of them are exactly World class.
If Lennon's fit he's certain to to be in the squad. I think Dawson will get the nod and I'd be surprised if neither Crouch or Defoe weren't considered.

We havent got a world class back 4 or a good keeper.
We havent got world class strikers apart from Rooney
We have Gerrard who plays when he likes and Liability Lampard.
We have a word class Manager who will get more out of this world cup than we deserve.
We will simply be ripped to bits at the business end of the world cup by pace and flare and individual errors from the keeper to midfield will be costly and regular.
Normally i am upbeat but we are useless. Dawson plays well for a couple of months and is now world cup quality? Not in a month of sundays. Terry shouldnt be within a mile of a starting place, Ferdinand is too casual and too injury prone.
We have pace, Defoe and Lennon but teams will know that and mark them out the game.
Some people talk about Matthew Upson, he is useless.
If only Bale was English :(
