A Margate fan claims to have spotted a story in The London Gazette.  See the Margate forum. It is also on the Ryman fans' site.  In today's Thanet Gazette it is reported that they are trying to sign Tait the former Dartford striker and seem pretty confident.  They missed out on signing Frannie Collin for whom, according to the Margate manager, Tonbridge Angels paid a four figure signing-on fee.

Now very good news for Margate - see statement from the Margate Board on their forum.  And they have picked up some good players too, notably Allan Tait from Dartford.

As somebody who protested with them in their darkest hour outside Thanet Council offices a while back, I am so pleased for the Margate supporters who are a smashing bunch.  I tried to support them once (after all, they are much nearer to me) but I just could not make the heartbreaking switch from the mighty Wings even though almost each chauffeured journey costs me a regular Bluewater expedition by my dearly beloved driver.

Jeffrey, these are the benefits of being a multi millionaire. I have always wondered why you havent bought Welling United FC. The Billings net worth would be petty cash to you after all.
