Maidstone claim they are very close to arranging dual registration for Welling strikers Jake Hobbs and Adam Marsh!!!

They have signed Simon Glover from Chelmsford. That is two clubs (one being us) that he will have played for 'following in the footsteps' of his late father.

Dual Registration is fine? They get to play at a fair level and we get to have them ready for us and they will be fit.

If either has a very good pre season then they will hope to be wanted by Welling not Maidstone with respect to Maidstone.

I think Simon could have been made into a very good front/wide man when he was young, but hes had more clubs than Peter Stringfellow and had more positions than Paris Hilton. Good luck to Si after smashing his ankle last season at Chelmsford.

I am sure the fact that his dad represented Maidstone had some part to play in Simon going there to play for them.

I agree that it is beneficial to all parties that Hobbs and Marsh can play some first team football at a decent level. Not sure the former would feature much for us to be honest on what I saw last year but the later showed some potential and scored two against D******* in the KSC so I will always be grateful to him!

I also spotted that another ex Wing "Quiche" has joined Ebbsfleet.......

Marshy has shown more than most of the fringe strikers we have gone through of late. Hobbs and Healy havent done it for us. How long do you need to give players? Hobbs has no pace, a poor touch and a poor scoring record, questionable attitude... just about everything you need for a good striker then. I cant see how he improves enough to be dangerous. He just hasnt got it or he isnt showing it for us and hes had plenty of time.

You have Lawson who Chelmsford were gutted to lose, if we lose Lawson and Marsh to other clubs without giving them a run out, it would be a huge **** up. Unless Daisy has the strikers tied down to us and is happy with them, Lawson is a wide man though isnt he?

Would love to hear confirmation of who is coming pre season, not expecting to hear of any more signings although Jamie did say that more could be coming soon, i suspect he might have just re signed for Dover though (one of the players Daisy was after).

With Pugh, Cumbers, Whitnell, Clarke, Marsh at the club, is it prudent keeping Hobbs and Healy around or should we be getting midfielders and defenders in as we seem to not have too much cover in that area.

And who do they play for if Welling play Maidstone in a cup?
