You just knew that we had to be without a key player for the Dover match and FA Cup matches - it was going too well. Damn friendly matches - let's just play home games against League teams! However, maybe Jack or Femi can play centre midfield while Lee is out.
Did anybody see the incident at Chatham - was it a foul or an accident?

Why cant Cracknell play Center Mid as thats his position?
I really cant see the benefit of playing a right back or center half there. Cracknell scored 7 goals from 20 games last season and has legs and a good engine. He will more than be acceptable.
We have cover and good cover at that.

I think we are all so used to seeing the likes of Ford, Smith, Parker etc play people out of position when we have viable options available that we are not used to having cover in every area.
Dean Cracknell and Jamie Day looks a perfectly good midfield pairing to me.

I wasn't all that close to it but it looked to me as though Lee and the Chatham player jumped for the ball and Lee's head caught the Chatham player's elbow on the way down. It did not seem to be a deliberate foul and the referee did not award a free kick.
Yes, Dean Cracknell and Jamie Day are the obvious centre midfield choices - I was just musing as to who else could play there now that we are a player short in that area for a while.

I think IF we got another injury that Healy and then Sambrook could play there, i wouldnt panic, Jamie has a great squad with lots of depth in it.
Crackers will play his balls off for us, score goals and do the business. We are lucky we have him in the squad. Clarkey will have to play well to get him out of the midfield i think, thats how strong this squad is. Which brings in other plusses, the strikers will have to play well or Clarkey will be knocking on Daisys door saying ok Crackers is playing well but i can play up front too.

Id be amazed if he is out as long as 8 weeks. You can recover from a broken leg quicker than that, and although playing footy will be tough with a broken face there is nothing to stop Clarke running and maintaining general fitness towards the end.
One slight concern, is Cracknell even fit ?? Hasnt played much recently, perhaps just pre-caution ??
