It is probably impossible to organise - given the timescale for a far more important quest - but could the key lots be pictured on this or the WSU site so that people can put down confirmed bids even at this early stage?  Also, I wondered whether bidders from far afield - at least 50 miles - or absent on holiday etc, could make a bid via one of the sites if they also included the auction entry fee?

Bertie I don't know exactly what Pat and Sy have planned and I don't want to speak out of turn.

What I do know is that the decision was taken yesterday (subject to confirmation this morning) the bar has been booked, the auctioneer is in place, and that publicity material is already being prepared as I type.

Patsy has published an initial list of items in the Remember Remember the 12 November thread but I know that she has received donations since then so knowing her I'm sure she will be updating it in due course and I would imagine nearer the time will advise which auction the individual lots will be allocated to.

How about selling a place on the bench for a Cup Game (KSC etc) . get to be in the changing room , have a photo taken with the team and sit on the bench (Non playing).

Didnt fisher do this for a League game, they let her "manage" the tream. I am not suggesting that but part of the backroom team on a match day could be a good lot for the auction. You would have to get Barrie and Jamie to agree to it.

Could advertise it on the site and in the local press etc.

An obvious thing to get that is Welling related is a Welling shirt signed by the current squad.

Nice that Aidie Pennock has helped out. Anything from Andy Ford, Neil Smith or Paul Parker. The latter should have access to some good stuff and people - whether he wants to help Welling is another question.

I may well have missed this in another thread, but are there any flyers / posters for the auction night available? I'm happy to take them round all the local shops, etc. With all the different items that Patsy has been able to procure, we should be able to get plenty of attendance from local residents that have no interest in Welling United.
