I'd rate Chelmo below Dover and about as good as Havant on what ive seen and Havant werent great but they never elbowed us or cried like girls. That Takumi Ake sposed to be superb, did he touch the ball against us?

His club's fans thought otherwise as did most other clubs fans this season. Glenn who? isnt he a coach thats been given the job? Never heard of him, will probably go back to obscurity soon if thats how his team plays. He might try and get a keeper that doesnt throw the ball in the net after winding up the oppo fans when their 12th man gave them a penalty.
Sour grapes or what lol.

Glenn Pennyfather: pretty good lower league midfielder with Southend when I used to go there a lot in early 80s. Probably get a good reference off Seaside Jack as well.
However, may be suffering from Wenger's Post disease as a manager!
Pugh drifted off the line, lost the defender and headed home powerfully, hardly a defensive error more a great set piece off the training field. Loui played an inch perfect pass and Cumbers roasted the center halfs and cooly slotted it past Pullen.
The "reporter" and i use that loosly said Pullen was facing his goal when he dropped it, how in gods name can he state that when its a load of tosh?, do they just make it up... Was he there? Pullen was facing the penalty spot not his goal line. No mention of the cynical disgraceful assault by elbow of the number 5 against Loui that was a blatant penalty and never even gave yellow let alone a straight red and penalty it deserved.
Do reporters not need grammar in Essex. laughable post match from the Reporter and the Manager who i will now refer to as Glen TwoBob.
To be fair even Chelmo fans on their forum are saying its a "shocking" piece of editorial.

Yes a fair portion of sour grapes from Mr Pennyfarthing there.
I thought Chelmsford looked good for the second half of the first half but couldn't cope with our pace up front for most of the game. The lad who went on was getting the run around from Q early in the game and whilst his replacement didn't have the pace he tried a few other tricks to keep our forwards quiet.
Q could have had four or five himself on the night and their manager would have looked far better had he praised our efforts rather than slaughter his own team and make disparaging remarks about ours.
i think we can expect more of the same from the Chelmsford boss this season. Their support is down from a year or two back, budget won't be as much, excuses, excuses.
Very ungracious in defeat. Not the mark of a great man.
Also suspect that the reporter was not at the game, and the report was written by someone in the Chelmsford management structure, as all our goals are credited to mistakes by Chelmsford players. Perhaps this is how the Chelmsford management team try and inspire their players; by fear and public ridicule.
Glad that Mr Day seems to adopt a somewhat different, and private, method of man management.
Chelmo are a good side, a very good side, and will be right up there. He feels threatened by Welling, thats what Id put it down to.
Good shout Kevin. Pennyfather obviously feels threatened about us and has to justify his teams thuggish display. We lost our way for a while, but could have been two up in the first half easily. Chelmo are a decent side and will be in the mix. They can play attractive football, but when faced with strong challenges, the same as they dish out, they don't like it and cry to the ref - you know the one, he was wearing a White shirt We found our way and when the ball wasn't hoofed, were the better side. As for the reporter, maybe he was full of our fine clubhouse ale and couldn't see which way the goal line was when Mr Pullen made his gaff. Their supporters I thought were OK and made a day of it, where the scum thread came from, I don't know. They were vocal, as they should be and in my opinion, were better than Woking anyday.
I ignored the match report, the main reason being that if he is really a reporter then there is no excuse for the complete lack of grammar and punctuation. Even someone with no footballing knowledge, when writing professionally for a newspaper, should understand comma's. He can be excused his chelmsford bias, but not his poor write up.
