Well done to everyone concerned in making the quiz night a very enjoyable evening.  The turnout for the quiz was excellent and I would think that a fair amount of money went into the coffers.

Just one little grouse though, as we were sure of at the time, the 1991 Formula One champion was Ayrton Senna, not Damon Hill and this means that the answer to the final question of the night should have been that well known TV programme "Torchwooa"!

Despite this little glitch, we look forward to the next one on October 1.

It was indeed a well attended and from a personal perspective thoroughly enjoyable evening as always.

I hope that what, on subsequent checking, proved to be a little glitch (Ayrton Senna 1991, Nigel Mansell 1992 and Damon Hill 1996) didn't spoil anybody's enjoyment. It is the first time in my experience that this has happened and I hope it doesn't put anyone off attending future quiz nights.

Spud

Just to clarify, no criticism intended.  We all enjoyed the evening as well.  I've drawn up and read out quizzes myself and know what an arduous and often thankless task it can be.  If the source for your info is wrong you're b*****ed.  Besides, it gave our brains a good workout trying to fit our "A" into our nine letter TV programme!

Spud, No criticism from me either just a recognition that a gremlin crept in last night. Without your efforts and those of your fellow quizmasters there wouldn't be a quiz night in the first place.
