There was a brief interlude in play when Lee Allinson picked up two yellow cards in a minute. The first for a shirt pull, the second for what was perceived as a two footed challenge. The reaction of Parkinson the recipient was to head butt the Wood player, which seemingly gave Mr Breakspear no option to send the manager's son to the changing rooms, not before he gave the totally uninjured Parkinson a straight red to compliment the mist that fell before his eyes.
Full piece through tinted glasses of John Mead below...
Mr Mead i see no mentions of handballs, or punches thrown by Boreham Wood players yet you state Parkinson headbutted the 10??? You also make out that Allinson didnt connect with Parkinson or use two feet and ignore Ian Allinson saying he has no complaints with the sending off? Your report is biased, irresponsible and potentially libellous.

How can Allinsons tackle be percieved as 2 footed when it WAS and theres James Video to confirm it. Yet Jack has catergorically headbutted Allinson according to Jon Mead?

In fairness he probably had not seen the video when he wrote his match report just as I always do the News Shopper ones without checking the video. Maybe that is a mistake of mine because I often then watch it and think that it is not how I remebered a particular incident and realise I have reported it inaccurately. Maybe I should use all tools available to me.
There are also times that my 'rose tinted glasses' affect how I write things up.
I don't know whether John Mead is an amateur hack like me or a proper journalist.

Mark don't put yourself down your reports are very professional. I assume the Boreham all day report was from a fan as the press box was empty on Saturday.
