Jamie said they were willing to cut their wages but havent yet. It might be prudent with 12 weeks or so left that they do take a cut as this will slash a percentage of what we need to raise.
HMRC Wound up Ilkestone today and are getting itchy fingers. Daisy its over to you.
I am sure that IF the players did do this and IF we get past the HMRC payments that the fans would host fund raising events to put in a kitty for the players as a bonus if we get straight.
If it was a genuine offer then it seems the time to call it in with 3 months left rather than do it with a couple of weeks left.
It would elso help pay off the HMRC quicker and help getting the embargo lifted so we can allow other players to come in and the injuries can heal.

Could risk shattering morale in a currently very positive and together squad. Point taken though. Lets raise some money in other channels first, and hope for a good cup draw.
I wouldnt expect any of them to take a cut of any amount. But as One Joe Healy has shown he has decided he will play for nothing while we raise funds.
With a budget of nearly 5k a huge amount COULD be raised or they can cut their wages by 33% for 3 months and raise about 20k.
All i am saying is Jamie said they are willing to take a pay cut so let those willing to do it do it and it will make huge strides in saving the club.
No point doing it with 3 weeks left if we have to find 30k.
Completely voluntarily and how much they want or Jamie can ask each to donate a % of their wage each and hence a % of the budget will be raised x 12 weeks.
Make it an option for them. I am completely aware that some this may be their only wage and it could be very hard for them. Others will have great jobs and could do it if they wanted to.

If we raised 20k from players Russ has raised approaching 10k from shirt sponsorships A big friendly could raise 10-20k easily if we get a big team who will send 3 or 4 names down out of their 25 squad.
Theres 40-50k out of the 63k
But lets get it cracking now. And then throwing in 5000-10000 leaflets being distributed we may bring in more money.
As i said i am sure if the players did this those that joined in could be "paid back some" via some fund raising or benefit event.

Or at the request of those players that volunteeered to take pay cuts.
I agree that at this moment we shouldnt cut pay or reduce budget, but if the players wanted to or were willing to then it should be welcomed as it will help greatly.
I am only referring to this as Jamie was the one who said my players will take pay cuts if necessary. 63 Bags of sand still owing and 2 of the 14 weeks gone would suggest it might be handy.
