Have we considered rocking up at Charlton and just asking for some money even as a loan? Got to be worth a shot....

I'm pretty sure Charlton are struggling financially - maybe not to the same extent as us but struggling none the less.

This is where it would be nice for an Arsenal or a Chelsea to share some of their massive wealth, but alas that'll never happen in this day and age!

There was a very good idea put forward by someone concerning a loan/s which if viable could keep things in house, matt who chaired the meeting thought a good idea.
Hopefully matt will read this and inform you what the idea is .

correct on both counts but in fairness to the big teams like arsenal and chelsea they could never give any of their cash away as it would just open up a can of worms for them - they would have to start clearing everyone's debts as everyone would go to them with begging bowls

I'm pretty sure FA Rules permit teams from lending money to other teams. If not every team would be banging on Man City's door!

It is crazy though that Carlos Tevez weekly wage could wipe out our debt and leave us with more than enough money to build a new future for the club.

I still think the idea that Bubbles has suggested has some meirt - I think he nicked it from another club. You get supporters to lend the club say £250. Then every week there is a draw to see who gets their money back - say one a week. The last few get double their money - so people will hopefully not mind waiting a while knowning there is a chance that they will get double.

Give the person who wins the draw a mention in the programme - could get some local businesses interested as they will know they will get their money back + the possibility of a mention in the programme and on the front of the web site etc.

Do the draw on the pitch at half time and read out the winner - will act a little excitement to our sad lifes.
