Last night from the bands point of view was great, each of us enjoyed it,
Great to see a large crowd there If im right a head count of 92. Patsy's raffle raised about £150, The THREE behind the bar were kept busy all night. Even the new glass collector (MR B Hobbins.!)running around being busy.
Also would like to thank the people who put into the collection at the end especially the gent who put in the £20 which started people putting in notes. Absolutely Fantastic.
On a sour note (and sorry to mention this) When a list of song sponsors were read out a few boos were made to a sponsor who along with others had put his hand in his pocket. Some of you may not be aware that our singer last night works with them all. I hope that this booing was caused by drink.
OTHERWISE A GREAT NIGHT
Many thanks to all.

I was unaware of any booing and think that Matt did a great job in obtaining so much sponsorship.
The evening was excellent. Although Barrie did the thanks at the end I don't think enough praise can be given to the three bands, Patsy and everyone else who made it such a great evening. Out of interest how many would have been there had everyone turnd up?
I have to say that the Bands deserve a huge thanks and i understand that the council are in discussion with some people connected to the club and a relationship and dialogue is ongoing.
This is excellent news. Whilst we would love a new ground or improved facilities these wouldnt and couldnt happen overnight or in this climate but if we can establish links you never know in the future.
Thanks to those workers on the council who have sponsored us in some way and for those that made it happen.
Well done Sy and Co, its appreciated.

Can I second, third and fourth all the comments. I brought along 5 friends (should have been 7 but 2 couldn't make it) none of whom are Welling supporters. All had a great time and I hope to get them to another gig in the future.

Nelly's Heroes are penned in to play at the wings bar on Friday 10th December. I have asked the other 2 bands if they are free to play an do the same again. As we all enjoyed it I am hoping for a yes.
