Looks like it's too late now for a comeback. Is it too early to say that at least we can concentrate on the league now? I'd rather have the cup too, though.
We gave our all they are a strong team and shut us down, we didnt do a thing down the right or in midfield, we still had 4 chances. Pugh Header from 4 yards, Stella shot saved by keeper, Missed penalty and Cumbers over bar.
Stella was outstanding today, Nothings changed, keep these players all of them. Win the league. Loick will be devastated but still had the thought of mind to warmly clap the fans when they gave him an ovation when he was subbed.
Stick together all of us on and off the park.
Roll on Saturday see you at Weston.

It was a massive disappointment to lose yesterday. The draw was very, very unkind and there was almost an air of inevitability about the result as we have a woeful record at Braintree, let alone when they have a half decent side which they clearly have this season. Usually exiting the cup means you can concentrate on the league and with the squad we have I believe we could do big things. However after being knocked out my biggest worry is that this squad may not now get that opportunity as fiancees wont allow the team to stay together?
I did think a budget cut would be prudent but thats counter productive. Keep the squad as it is for the next 2 months at least and when we pay off the hmrc then re assess it. If we could bring in 30-40k in the next few weeks then it may be prudent to cut the budget to have the rest of the money in full. I think we need to wait for a statement from the club in the week and get behind whatever is decided. I do think with the fa cup now gone we have spaces to have 1 or 2 friendlies that will not impact upon the squad as had we still been in they would have played anyway.
At least we know we have to raise the money but as i said at a meeting ignore the fa cup , we need to raise the money.

Indeed the keeper was yards off his line but since the linesman was on first name terms with him he wasn't likely to get penalised. And it's not as if their captain was going to blow his whistle and order a re-take, either.
Which brings me on to my main point: when are we going to start playing the officials like other teams do?
The only person in charge of yesterday's game was their captain. After the vicious foul on Andy Sambrook he ran 50 yards to spend five minutes telling the tw*t in black what to do - where were our players?
Compare and contrast the two penalties:
- yes, both should have seen red cards waved;
- not one of our players went near the 'ref' when ours was given, while half their team did a Roy Keane impression when they got theirs
- not one of our players went near the 'ref' when ours was given, while half their team did a Roy Keane impression when they got theirs
Don't you think it was because their goal had been disallowed and a penalty awarded? They did harass the ref pretty regularly though and jones was the ring-leader.

ive thought this before - most teams do it but we never do and even though im not keen on the idea i think it's time we started putting pressure on refs
I know this sounds bad and unsportsmanlike. But Andy Pugh needs to start flopping down when he is walloped from behind. His back must be black and blue after each game especially Saturdays game. He took so many shoves and pushes in the back it was unreal. The boy is too honest.
