I had a phone call from Charlie today saying that he hasn't signed for Hastings, he is helping Tony Dolby out as cover for their keeper, just for a few games. Charlie said that it's too far for him to travel to Hastings on a permanent basis and is still open to offers from local clubs.
Why release a fantastic goalkeeper who has proved his loyalty to the club by not missing a single game this season, playing when injured and in a lot of pain and still played his MITTENS OFF. Sorry about that bit...
I will miss you Charlie and hope the next club you play for appreciates you as much as your supporters and I did. THANK YOU.

Don't get me wrong, but I thought the world of Charlie just like everyone else. And I would like to think that Jamie did also and is it possible that Mr Mitten was offered to stay on but with a wage reduction. That would also go for Mr Cracknell. With the possibility of a new investor, it may have only been tempory.
