4k does seem a bit of a farce but just strengthens the fact that if they are under 24 ,unless you have them on contract they can go for pennies if they get tapped up. Moral here? Put them on a contract and make them pay a fair price rather than be stolen or piss off for a signing on fee or a higher club.
