Fair chance of that, Mark. It happened on there ahead of the last round.

History largely decrees we get a real awayday at this stage of the competition (e.g. Blyth)

That will give us a right lift, the players deserve a day out after working their balls off and this will give them a huge lift.

Some troll is attempting to wind them up. Obviously the fact he used welling in the name and said we are going to kick off shows its a troll, probably a dartford fan.

Had us travelling...but then, I referred to Blyth which was, of course, one round later. I think it's still regional at Round 1.

Excellent chance to put our early FA Cup exit at Braintree (that much I am certain of) behind us.

Great draw for us :D

It's £18 to get in (unless they decide to lower the ticket price) and £18 for a return train ticket.

Of course, the irony of all this is it could be a good pay day - 10 days after it might become too late....

Given we pick up some Millwall for the bigger games i.e. most recent tie at Reading, I'd be more concerned about that angle given 86 and that there is likely to be less plod in attendance for a Trophy match.

Their average gate is about 6000 aint it so you would hope they will have at least 4000 there. thats a nice few quid win or lose.

Dont forget at 18 quid a pop thats almost double us so would be like us getting nearly 8000 at home and having to share it. I hope we say keep the cost at £18?

I have been saying to my sons what a great draw if Luton were to come to Welling but suppose the other way round wont be so bad. They are both Luton born and their nan still lives there so I might have to make it a family day out.

If you have a railcard (Network/senior/young persons) it will be a bit cheaper £11.90 from Kidbrooke instead of £18. Bexleyheath line is shown as operating on 11th but you will need to get the Underground from London Bridge to St. Pancras as Thameslink does not serve London Bridge at weekends.

Lets hope that whoever is incharge gives Jamie some dosh to improve the squad. Certainly makes it a sweeter take over and a guaranteed mini windfall win or lose. I am still a bit unimpressed that the takeover has dragged on this much when Jamie has desperately needed the embargo off even if he could register some of the academy, there seems no urgency from the investors to wrap it up and help Jamie get the embargo off. They could have done a sponsorship while the discussions were ongoing to get most of the HMRC money paid (when you add the appeal funds raised) , Then agree a plan for the remainder. This would have got the embargo off as a written agreement would be in place.

Instead, its dragged on and Jamie has had to use 16 players max for too long. Of course we all hope its sorted, but i dont see much business sense or thinking outside the box in this situation.

Luton Town away is a fantastic draw for our club.

Everyone has had to live with this cloud over us involving the HMRC, and the ongoing takeover negotiations, so let us enjoy this occasion together and look forward to a fantastic day out.

Let us see how many coaches we can fill up for this great day and cheer on our team, as they all deserve this after their efforts on the pitch this season. UP THE WINGS!!!!!!!!!

Lets hope we play to our strengths and not try and stop theirs. If we get stuffed who cares but if we get going and passing it could be a great game and we could surprise them and we have players who will fancy it big time against the Hatters.

You are right Kevin, a draw at Luton would be fantastic with the return game at pvr. This could be the start of the wings really hitting the headlines for the right reasons.

Sy if you start a thread get people to say if they want to get a coach (they can add their freinds names too) Then if you get 50 have one coach if you get 100 have 2 etc.

I would say that any names in the threads need to pay in cash at the Eastleigh Game on the 4th December at PVR.

Theres a chance the club could try and run coaches via the website or someone will attempt to get cheaper rail fares.

I would have thought that even if the takeover didn't succeed, if we have paid off some more of the owings and kept up to date on this years, you could probably now present a good case for a 28 day adjournment on the grounds of reasonable probability of making a serious chunk of the remainder on the Luton game, which is guaranteed to take place, even if the crowd is not certain.

GREAT DRAW - Jamie must be pleased!  So, looks like my first away game of the season on the 11th, before I hit Dartford and Bromley - I might get dizzy being away from PVR!

Don't forget the home games against Bromley and Dartford at Christmas/New Year as well. We should make at least 15k at the gate from both games!

Does anyone know if the FA take a share of the gate receipts from the Trophy games?

Some interesting rules:
If any Club when applying to enter the Competition, or at any time during the course of theCompetition becomes subject to any of the following insolvency events:                          (iii) a winding up order made in respect of that Club; orthat Club must notify the National Game Board immediately in writing. The National GameBoard will (at its absolute discretion) then decide whether to accept the application and/or allow that Club to continue to compete in the Competition.Hopefully we needn't worry about that one.

In terms of how much it costs to get in:

Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree theprices of admission subject to the following conditions:                                                                  (i) Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to childrenand senior citizens) to matches shall be:                                                                                   In the First Round Proper to the Semi-Final: £5.00I guess we probably won't agree to £5.

The receipts are divided as follows:

The net gate receipts due from a match shall be the total ticket sales for the match less VAT, the travelling(and possibly accommodation) expenses of the Visiting Club, the fees and expenses of the Match Officials, and other match expenses allowed under the Competition Rules (which include costs relating to gate attendants, turnstile operators, stewards, police charges, floodlighting in accordance with the Competition Rules, contributions to the costs of First Aid Helpers, and any costs relating to clearing the ground of snow and water provided theVisiting Club is consulted beforehand on the approximate costs). The National Game Board shall havethe power from time to time to issue instructions as to what shall and shall not beallowed as a match expense.
Tonbridge should have cleared at least £50 then!

I'm sure you was expecting a reply from me.... We have played Luton a few times since 86 without any bother.. and i'm sure our hardcore fans will be in Swansea... however i am thinking of attending the Luton game...

If I attend I promise to behave.. altho I may have to return Lutons seats wink.gif
I promise not to wear my Millwall cap, I also promise not to take my knuckle duster or wear my steel toe capped boots... I promise these things on the proviso that i am allowed to sit in front of jgfc's camera smile.gif

I really don't want to have a second flat out run to the station after being pursued by a herd of zebras when some genius let the Toon Army out at the same time as the home fans in 81!

If anyone wants to travel by train, I think the thameslink at Blackfriars is closed so you've got to make your way to Kings Cross.

Better make that St. Pancras as thats the station for both East Midlands Trains and first Crapital  Connect.
Take the Southeastern to London Bridge change onto the Northern Line  for Kings Cross St. Pancras. From Luton Station the LTFC site says a 31 bus will take you to the ground. As they have not updated the train info on their site (still show Kings Cross for London) I will double check and post nearer to match day.
